Yes. Punishment must be swift, thorough and enduring. These people must be banned from holding office or serving in the federal govt. in any capacity(aside from possibly trusty at a federal pen.) It’s all too clear now what the consequences of not doing so are.

Definitely “never.” We can undo some of the damage this disastrous regime has inflicted, but even if we could undo all of it, things would – and should! – still be different, because now we know things that we didn’t before.
To use an analogy to cybersecurity, imperfect as all analogies are, suppose you are the victim of a ransomware attack. But, because you had a good backup strategy in place (which I hope everyone does), you can restore the system to the state before the attack. Recovery!
Except that you have now restored the system to a state in which it was vulnerable to an attack. So you need to restore, yes, but then you need to apply patches, tighten security policies, and whatever else you need to do to prevent the attack from recurring, at least in the way it did.

Whoever is right about the Arkansas “Doordash Grandma” controversy, Sharon Simmons did testify before Congress on the Tax on Tips issue, and seems to have a shifting abode. From Nevada, but originally happened to be from Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith’s 8th district in Missouri (which borders Arkansas ) except when actually from Arkansas. All these places seem far from the White House. Putin keeps a stable of people to play everyday Russians in various roles, and it is not implausible that Trump does the same. It’s reality tv all the way down.

The president is sticking to his story that he thought the AI-generated painting of him as Jesus Christ that he shared on Truth Social was depicting him as a doctor. He also insulted some of the people who were offended by the post. When CBS News asked him why he deleted the image, he said he did so to clear up any confusion.
As some late night guy said, if I was in an emergency room and some guy showed up with glowing orbs in his hands dressed in robes with red shashes looking like a Jesus figure I would conclude I had died.
