They know this won’t reinstate TFG, but it’s what Republicans will use to justify their plan to demoralize voters and rig future elections in their favor.

The “confidence” and “trust” he refers to is “confidence” and “trust” that Republicans will never lose another election.

Just to clarify, Philadelphia (city) and Philadelphia County are the same thing. Unlike some other large cities like Baltimore, the borders of City of Philadelphia and Philadelphia County are identical. That is, Philadelphia County does not include any suburbs and none of the collar counties have any part of the City of Philadelphia.

Biden got about 85% of the Philadelphia vote and Trump about 13%, which isn’t much different from Hillary. And Philly is pretty diverse, too, so it’s fair to say that nearly everybody of every stripe hates Trump in the city. And having lived in the Philly 'burbs for about 35 years, it’s pretty clear he’s not all that popular in the four large close PA suburban counties either. (Plus the three NJ adjacent suburban counties.)

The only thing that kept things close is a huge rural turnout of Trumpers, who may or may not show up in 2022 without Trump on the ballot, and may not show up at all or a long time without Trump on the ballot.

There needs to be a statute of limitations for contesting elections. 8 months after the election is much too long to contest it.

How about once it’s certified by Congress? Because when it is, it is OVER.

How A Lawyer For Eastern European Oligarchs Fueled The Fever Dream Of An Election Reversal

He’s been a consultant this year on President Trump’s futile and ham-handed bid to overturn the results of the election in Pennsylvania.

But Marks, a 63-year old attorney to oligarchs in the former Soviet space and a one-time Pennsylvania state senator, says that he got there by a weird and circuitous path, one that involved Don McGahn, a stolen election, and Trump himself on a helicopter.

Marks represents Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky, and, through his firm Marks & Sokolov, has made a career of representing moneyed interests in Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan — so far as they have business to settle in the U.S.

FEC records show that the Trump campaign paid $161,841 to Marks’ firm in the 2020 campaign.

But what drew the Trump campaign to Marks and Marks to the Trump campaign wasn’t his familiarity with the rough-and-tumble world of post-Soviet business.

Rather, it was a bizarre 1994 episode of electoral fraud that led to a unique episode in the annals of American political history: the federal judiciary overturning the results of an already-certified election.

The 1994 absentee ballot fraud scheme bears no resemblance to anything that happened in the 2020 election, but the outcome of the case bears a striking resemblance to what the Trump campaign sought to achieve in federal court: a federal judiciary willing to overturn the results of an already-certified election.

Rinse and repeat. I’m still wondering how far into Russian corruption and influence into all things Trump, including his admin, the new Justice Dept is.

Oh but wait … according to this online bio …https://voterly.com/politicians/Typ0V343Y9/doug-mastriano
the ego maniac Pennsylvania State Sen. Doug Mastriano also fancies himself to be … “An Actor”
yep, a regular walkin’, drawlin’ John Wayne / Clint Eastwood

He identifies himself as -

And what is “Operation Resist” ? … basically - according to the reviews that were not shills - it is horrible amateurish thoroughly unwatchable bunch of dreck

and Mastriano has a role that, unlike his ego, is practically microscopic

“Miriam survives a home invasion by fascists and finds allies among a secret branch of the Resistance. Together, they work fearlessly on an escape plan. This intense action is unrated but family-friendly.”

$20 says that back in Pennsylvania, he gets in somebody’s face and screams
“DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM” at least 5 times a month !

5.0 out of 5 stars A must see and powerful true to life story

Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2019

A powerful story based upon historic figures and historic events that shows what happens when ordinary people rise up… they can accomplish extraordinary feats of heroism.
Set in the darkness of 1943 Europe, Operation Resist masterfully tells the story of Miriam and her struggle to survive during the oppressive holocaust. But, she is not alone and the Dutch Resistance, aided by American “special forces” fight the darkness and change history. Indeed, Operation Resist demonstrates that each life matters and what we do echoes across the generations and into eternity. A timely and powerful story that is a must see for this generation!!!

Unfortunately they are home-grown assholes, and we’ll be dealing with them for decades … just as we always have. Those 50s photos of screaming racists, and the 30s photos of Nazi conventions in Madison Square Garden weren’t anomalies.

“forensic investigation”

Tell you what.

First, we’ll do a “forensic investigation” of Donald Trump — you know, the guy who is hiding his tax returns — including his business affairs (which people say are fraudulent) and THEN we can triply-quadruply-quintuply verify that nobody likes or trusts the guy.

Fair enough, Mr. Mastriano?

By the way, some right-wing friends of mine want to know what country you pledge allegiance to. They’re hung up on your name. I dunno… It isn’t me. I’m liberal. I like immigrants

I’ve yet to hear a good explanation as to why Democrats are so bad at messaging. Does anyone know? I mean, it seems obvious to me that relying so heavily on promoting policy positions as the primary campaigning tactic doesn’t seem to work very well. The republicans have more or less successfully convinced approximately half the country that democrats are radical socialists/communists bent on taking all your money and giving it to lazy, welfare sucking losers…Why aren’t we hearing a chorus of democrats calling out republicans as, for example, baby stealing, mass killing fascists bent on taking all your money and giving it the 1%?

Arizona and now Pennsylvania are demonstrating beyond imagination why entrusting 50 separate and independent interpretations and executions of our national constitutional right to vote is becoming more and more of a complete joke. I understand that states are responsible for holding our elections, but employing 50 independent standards for those elections, where some votes are less equal than others is a violation of our collective constitutional right. Yes, the votes were all certified. Months ago. They cannot be challenged simply because the snowflake’s feefees are hurt. This was a national election, being challenged independently on a state-by-state basis. That. Is. Wrong!!!

Yes it is but that has really nothing to do with the fact that every state has its own system. That’s not why the audits are a thing - they would be a thing even if every state followed the same voting procedures.
