I think this is the basic track. Dem pols have got to learn that you don’t fight myths with facts. You fight myths with more appealing myths (Based on the truth…)! Mr. Trump’s successful election in 2016 and the rise of the MAGA movement prove that purely logical and factual refutation just doesn’t work. The people who could be swayed by that approach are already on our side. This is perhaps an unfortunate consequence of the increasing percentage of professionals and highly-educated people in the Dem base.
How long was the bed?
Today is Tuesday March 22
The PA Senate primary is Tuesday May 17th
56 days away …
If Lamb is really actually this far behind … it begs many questions / reveals many truths
- Lamb has run a lousy campaign - seriously how can you have gotten to this point and now be having to employ a scorched earth political character assasination approach? That’s clueless.
- Lamb is about to embark on a monstrous big big big big money campaign to politically and personally destroy John Fetterman …
- Lamb looks and sounds like he cares more about destroying Fetterman than he cares about having a Democrat win the seat.
- Lamb - just by pursuing such a campaign of destruction is looking like he would be another Joe Manchin … randomly sabotaging everything that his big money backers wanted derailed.
- yes after a big big big money effort … if he wins he is owned by the money.
They are pretty damn good. I like the pickled ones too haha. If you really like a very fishy smoked fish, I recommend smoked blue fish. Yum.
Good reasoned response, asshole!
1-The R’s kept mentioning that Judge Brown had “dark” money behind her. The use of that word is suspect as a racial dogwhistle. (All recent R-appointments have been vetted by the right wing extremist Federalist Society)
2-Ben Sasse complained about Congress being unwilling to tackle certain policy issues that then fall into the purview of the executive branch or off to the judicial branch that then makes policy.
The irony and hypocrisy these complaints is at a Trump-Putin level.
Why is there dark money in politics? Because of the Republicans. Because the R-appointed judges with their Citizens United decision overturned Congressional legislation on campaign finance restrictions on secret corporate political contributions. That Republicans on the Court made policy, and they made dark money possible.
You overlook that announcing during the primary campaign, before there was even a Supreme Court seat to fill, that he would fill it with a black woman, was the necessary condition for getting Rep. Clyburn’s endorsement. That was what energized his flagging campaign and allowed him to win the nomination. Without that, he would never have been in a position to nominate anyone, and we’d likely all be suffering under Trump’s second term.
Blackburn:
"In what respect, Charlie?
All of them! Um, any that have been put before me all these years!! I can see Black people from my plantation porch!!!"
Oh, I’m going to cry when she’s confirmed! But, not because of that, honey!
Well, giving into Clyburn’s demand sure showed that Joe’s his own man. Plus, I have to sadly admit that we were better off under the Orange Asshole. I don’t recall suffering a lot, just being frustrated that so many people wanted a draft dodging asshole for President.
And that, my fellow TPM readers, is why you should not do drugs…
