This summer, President Trump discovered a new tool to conscript into his fight to win re-election: the country’s war against COVID-19. Trump has embarked on an unprecedented campaign to use the infrastructure the country has developed to fight the virus in service of own re-election.
What could possibly go wrong with 1) undercounting cases of infection and 2) rushing an untested vaccine to the public? The Trumpster fire is getting bigger and hotter.
This is a Genocidal Maniac. Who should be arrested, charged and tried.
In the meantime, there’s a real solution just waiting to be rolled out, but it’s actually being held up by the Trump administration:

I don’t think it is going to work. He famously refused to take responsibility and he has lived up to that refusal for months.
This response by Trump is right out of the Carl Rove textbook, where he advised candidates to find their weakest vulnerabilities and propagandize them into strengths.
Trump is sufficiently incompetent and undisciplined he might just flub the attempt, but it is pretty clear he’s being advised by someone who is more competent than Jared.
