Just checked out the newspaper story, saw the pics of the women and HERE IT IS. Right out in the open, again.
Like Trummpp, attractive, professional women that are not subservient to this man make him super-uncomfortable (can’t guess why or what the feeling is because this is based on my observation as a Russian honeypot who encounters these men and not as a damaged grown man with a family).
Men like this have to immediately, like, in less than 30 (10?) seconds of an intro or interaction, demean, lessen, hurt and publicly embarrass the woman who gave them this really bad feeling inside their grown man bodies. How do they do this?
-IMMEDIATELY make verbal observation about body part
-IMMEDIATELY place hand or hands not only on the woman’s body to gain control, but on a no-go zone, close to where a bikini would be (the two-piece bathing suit rule that kids are taught no grown up should touch) for maximum dominance.
-with smile on face accompanied by a laughing utterance of some kind so that the lilting voice masks the threat of the touch and the words (to be sure that one can. say that you can’t take a joke)
There is no variation to the above, but resistance by the woman is met with scorn and derision.
Acceptable response:
Don’t smile, neutral face, take man’s hand and place it back at their side. Hold onto it until it is by the man’s side. Then say, “I don’t like to be touched and you are not allowed to talk about my body. Those are the ground rules. Can you do that?”
ETA: whatever the response is, just say, “I take that as a yes”.

I don’t know that it’s all that thoughtful, calculated and deliberate. I think it’s compulsive behavior. That does not excuse it, but I think that’s where it springs from.
AGREE with you…except your phrase “Acceptable Response”
That’s putting the onus back on the person who is being accosted.
Maybe say, “Most Effective Response”

I have a friend who we can only invite to dinner at one anothers’ homes, because in a restaurant she barely gets a sip of her drink before some random creeper starts hitting on her. Even when my wife, all our kids and I are sitting right there at the table. I can’t even begin to comprehend what life must be like as the object of desire for every horn dog 18 to 80, and when the horn dog has power it’s got to be 100 fold worse.

I’ve had this experience with my own wife – at least when we were younger. As a single man I was never shy about approaching a woman, but I never, ever approached an escorted woman. There are places where that can get you punched, beaten or even shot. I was born too early in the last century.
Men sometimes assume that they can hug women, too. Newsflash: Not all women want to be hugged.

Being perfectly honest, I don’t think that this was criminal. Likely sexual harassment that could get him fired in an office, but not criminal.
I’m not saying that the women were asking for it or some BS like that. They said he grabbed their lower back instead of butts which can make a world of a difference in court.
The comments he made seem to make clear his intentions though so he’s still a creep.

Man, I cannot wait for all of the secret video footage that everyone who has ever had a WH meeting with Ivanka Trump has taped. I really want to see her in action, Trump using her as a catfish, her sidling up to men / world leaders, at official meetings, as she was trained to do. I find that fascinating.
Hoping that the release of this 1.5 hour video with Trumpp will open the floodgates.

Someone just has to do SOMETHING when this happens and the best response varies. These women were at WORK so the response about ground rules fits.
I saw a video where a man at a public event, one of the hosts, is constantly pushing Megan Markle’s low, low back to guide her around and talk to people, look at things. It seems like her husband notices this in the video as he keeps stopping his interview and looking over, irritated, and focusing on the man’s arm, but no one does anything.
Megan Markle has a frozen smile the whole time, and looks like she is dying inside (for whatever reason). She just seems so powerless; can’t even tell a man to take his hands off of a member of the British Royal Family. No idea what her response there should have been? Maybe ask one of your security guys to make sure no one literally pushes you around?
