Two reasons: (a) they are playing to the white Christian conservatives who believe that the HPV vaccine will encourage their innocent little Karenflower to go find a big delicious black pole to slide down and (b) because the communities of teens who need the outreach most are the inner city/urban minority communities and they want black and brown people to get cancer (and any other sicknesses they can give those communities) and die off.
It’s not heartbreaking, it’s child abuse.
