In the Washington Post article about Bondi evangelical grifter Ralph Reed is praising her, probably due to her attempts at opposing and weakening marriage equality. If someone like him is supportive of you then you know that she’s not interested in being an advocate for the people. It’s bad enough that she gave Trump a pass on his sham university after his $25k donation to her campaign. She also sought to undermine the protections in the Affordable Care Act, siding with the healthcare industry.
But even more egregiously she rarely if ever prosecuted cases of wage theft, unfortunately a big problem in a state like Florida, actually worse than shoplifting where there are a lot of blue collar workers as well as folks in the hospitality and tourism sectors who have fallen victim of it. You can’t go around claiming that you are the “party of the working class” while undermining the laws that protect them.
Our power was out for two full days and we were pleasantly surprised that just after the 50 hr mark we were restored. We were among the hundreds of thousands knocked off the grid here in the Pacific NW due to what forecasters called a bomb cyclone. We lost three big branches from the 100+ yr old fir tree but fortunately they fell straight down, a medium sized branch from a neighbor’s tree landed on the power line from the pole to our home and dangled for a while on the line. Today I will be tossing all the refrigerated food- no, we don’t have a generator- and continue the cleanup of tree debris.
Meanwhile, I am not surprised Gaetz withdrew from the A.G. nomination. Pam Bondi is marginally better. Next up Hegseth needs to go down along with Tulsi and RFK Jr. I am less concerned about Dr. Oz although he is remarkably bad but less bad than Hegseth, Gabbard and RFK Jr.
We see here that the vote is very powerful. In this case it destroyed the world’s progress to better life. Every voter has a responsibility to make a well-considered choice. Anyone who says : Don’t blame me, I didn’t vote." did in effect, let this happen. I personnaly would be willing to let those non-voting people live their unconcerned lives. But by allowing the self-proclaimed chaos agent to take over, they have made their lives worse. Elections have consequences for people, even if they don’t vote.
Nice that Putin’s cock-holster* chose Bondi to replace the seemingly irreplaceable Gaetz. Alert viewers will remember her for being illegally bribed by the Orange Menace to drop fraud charges in Florida against his fraudulent university.
She also let Epstein skate. So that’s another qualification.
Here’s a gem from Heather Cox Richardson’s letter today:
Meanwhile, Republican perceptions of the economy have changed abruptly. As Philip Bump of the Washington Post notes, since Trump’s election, there’s been a 16-point drop in the percentage of Republicans who say they were doing worse a year ago than they are now.
So most of this election was purely about misogyny and racism. Oh, and the media not publicizing Biden’s successes. I’m sure they’ll be praising Trump when he takes credit for all of it.
