A lot of people thought Bush II was dumb. Someone pointed out that Bush II was not dumb, but he thought everyone else was. Republicans have been keeping American politics interesting since the Vietnam era. Dumb politics, interesting times, it is time to understand that the Right is just bad to the bone. That should make politics simple.

Supreme Court also knows the situational context of a looming democratic legislature. That is, ethical standards, hearings, court reform, and ideally impeachment of several corrupt justices, Roberts foremost.

An excellent piece, and it nails the partisan hackery of the MAGA 6 on the Supreme Court. These hacks will never go beyond their partisan allegiance in decisions unless forced to do so.
Any Democrat who wishes my vote in 2028 (assuming there is a fair and free election) needs to explicitly call for massive changes to the Supreme Court, including expansion, binding ethics rules with criminal penalties for failure to follow them, and a whole host of election rules to be passed by Congress outlawing gerrymandering and money in politics.
The first step to do all of this is, I hasten to add, ending the Senate filibuster.

Well, this cluster of a EO is almost a joke… if the secretaties of state in the blue states really want to throw a little sand in the gears… just omit any Republican voters from the list that they submit to the post office. Put the trump administration in the position of having to either sue their own post office to stop the black balling of their own voters or they can withdraw the EO. As a side benefit, if the R’s do end up screaming foul before the election, the only way they could know that would be if they bounced the blue state submissions off an internal republican party database which would be clearly illegal.

No, the Supreme Court doesn’t think we are “stupid” as the title suggests. However, it knows we are powerless to do anything about their bad-faith actions.

This is so disturbing. Perhaps the author of this could send the report to the NYTimes, WaPo, etc and go on talking heads programs to highlight the injustice of the Supremes on the right. This attack on our voting rights is repugnant and we must fight back with everything we have. Get the report to Jon Ossoff. He knows how to generate national discussions.
