The Sting That Led An Ex-Ambassador To Be Accused Of Spying For Cuba

John LeCarre would have loved this. So many possible twists to the narrative.

Could the FBI have known about him for years and arranged to feed disinformation to the Cubans (and hence, the Russians) through him? We’ll likely never know.

I’m not even going to hold it against him. That is one hell of an operation. Well played, Cuba. I am fairly sure you can have him back for the right price (that you ain’t got).

Hopefully Trump pardons him along with all the J6 traitors.

You’re welcome.

In this photo Trump looks like someone that is not understanding why the others are laughing and is just trying to laugh along.

Here’s a biosketch for this scumbag. Rocha first joined the State Department in 1981, under Ronnie Reagan. Then joined the NSC in 1991, working there through 1994, under H.W. Bush. Bill Clinton appointed him Amb. to Bolivia, where he served under Clinton, and then W. (Shrub) Bush. He then worked for SOUTHCOM under W, and Dick Cheney, reporting to James T. Hill, Director of SOUTHCOM, and was the guy who brought and encouraged maximally permissive enhanced interrogation to our government that led the torture programs at GITMO.

After he retired from his State Dept. gigs, he took on some other interesting gigs. He became the President of a Dominican Republic Gold mine, owned in part by a Canadian firm, took on a senior leadership role at a Pennsylvania Coal exporter, a brief connection in creating cannabis businesses, and Senior International Business Advisor for Milwaukee based Foley and Lardner, in their “Government Solutions Practice Group,” out of their Miami Location.

All the while, over a period of over 40 years, it appears (according to the DOJ) he was a spy for Cuba.

Where have we heard about Foley and Lardner recently? They say he left the company in August, and have nothing to do with him. They said the same thing about their other well-know employee, Cleta Mitchell, the D.C. election power lawyer of Trump’s, the highest hired gun to steal the election who was not indicted and is not currently facing prison time.

There’s a lot to unpack in this all too typical story of corruption, greed, and treason against our government, conducted over a 40 year + period, that came out of the Reagan farm. I wanna see who gets to prosecute his ass… I predict he will disappear before he is in cuffs.

I don’t think he left the game, but lost his cojones somewhere along the way…

Cuban who moved to US = gusano
Cuban who stayed in Cuba = companero
Cuban who goes both ways = gusanero

Throughout the meetings, Rocha behaved as a Cuban agent, consistently referring to the United States as “the enemy,” and using the term “we” to describe himself and Cuba. Rocha additionally praised Fidel Castro as the “Comandante,” and referred to his contacts in Cuban intelligence as his “Compañeros” (comrades) and to the Cuban intelligence services as the “Dirección.” Rocha described his work as a Cuban agent as “a grand slam.”

It is somewhat amusing that the Dead Putin trope has gotten so much traction. Certainly, the Kremlin has not been too helpful. Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peshkov announced at the end of October that Putin was not dead. Since that time diplomats have avoided high-level contacts in person, lest they pose with a double, and even little kids asked if he was the real Vladimir Vladimirovich. But this is just plain weird.

“Cornyn and his cronies” will never accept direct responsibility. They will blame it on “woke”, sunspots, Hunter Biden, never-Trumpers or Jewish lasers. The Senate was envisioned as an upper house body for serious people, people engaged with the world. It is hard to say what you call the current non-seriousness. Flaky?

my question is; why are YOU still here, why haven’t you emmigrated back to CUBA???it weird that people who do not respect the USA, continue to live here .

My country right or wrong?

The full quote is: “My country, right or wrong; if right, to be kept right; and if wrong, to be set right.” Carl Schurz

One can respect, even love, one’s country and still call out its wrongdoings.

yeah! but the constant bitching and complaining, gets tiresome;no-one is forced to live here, i wouldn’t stay if i was so miserable.

Number one, I am not from Cuba. Number two, As a veteran I deeply respect the USA, it’s just our fucking government that needs to be enlightened. All thru the 20th century, our government acted against sovereign countries in South and Central America under the ridiculous excuse of saving them from the evils of socialism and communism. The real concern of our short sighted government was the fear that leftist governments might succeed, and their ideas might “infect” our citizens, causing a disruption of the oligarchic one percent’s control of the US and its economy.

“…if I still have testicles.” What, did the FBI use Google Translate?

He toiled away as an enemy agent under Reagan, two Bushes, and Clinton, and stayed active in nefarious schemes under Obama and of course during the the sleazy orange imbecile’s sh*tshow, before finally being brought down by Merrick Garland and Sleepy Joe’s weaponized DOJ.

Joe should go on TV tonight and bluster about how “this commie was caught like a dog by my best, most handsome and special agents” just to troll the RWNJs.

It makes me sick when some countries pry into and interfere with the inner workings of others!

This Cuba thing is pretty bad, too!!!

Except Flake left.

personally, i have no idea what ‘GOVERNMENT’ thinks as there are so many people involved in it… so far. it has worked pretty damn good, except for a few years when i disagreed with who ever held the office of POTUS and his/ her party. i am glad i can disagree, politicaly, without fear of being killed.
