WASHINGTON (AP) — Confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett are set to begin as a divided Senate charges ahead on President Donald Trump’s pick to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and cement a conservative court majority before Election Day.
There is no doubt that the GOP will confirm Barrett. The only thing the GOP is currently fighting over is who will be the ‘headship’ of this handmaid? Trump, McConnell, or Roberts
As horrible as this candidate is I am of the opinion that there is not much that can be done to prevent her confirmation. We are 20 days away from an election that is the most important collective decision I have ever seen.
With that said I’m not going to put a lot of energy into these hearings and keep the eye on the real prize, the White House and Senate. The SC is another mess that will need mopping up.
I want the GOP to suffer for nominating Barrett.
Foregone conclusion. This is the Right’s wet dream - attractive and conforms to all of their beliefs. So much for their complaints of activist judges.
When was the last time some of these Senators have been tested?

But do keep an eye (other than Kamala) on how many of the Senators dial in, rather than participate in person.

Barrett belongs to a group called the “ handmaids,” who believe in complete obedience to their husbands. Would someone please ask her how much she tells him about her cases, and whether he makes her decisions for her? What if he disagrees with her—does she change her stance? Why not? For that matter, why does he let her work at all?
I still want someone to ask her about fetal tissue research, in light of Trump’s ‘successful COVID treatment’ with a protocol that was tested on fetal tissue.
