Actuallly, although the Germans (not the Nazis per se) had some strong science-based stuff going on (e.g., Vi, V2 [cruise & ballistic missiles], ME262 jet fighter, among other things), and were the most disciplined and effective infantry in the world, in general the Nazis were almost as dysfunctional as the Rs are now.
The main reason for this was the same then as now: Hitler, like Drumpf, preferred to keep his underlings in constant rivalry and turmoil. In that sense at least, Hitler and Drumpf were two peas in a pod. Also, neither one was ever wrong in his own mind, and total inability to adjust to conditions on the ground dogged Hitler. Remind you of anyone?
This is fine (and deserved), but why isn’t the press contacting every Republican Senator as well as house member asking them about the Senate Intelligence Report that is now public? That should be the non-stop news. Force the Republican Party members to address their failure on this important national issue.

Millie Weaver, 29, was arrested Friday at her Ohio home on multiple charges related to the alleged robbery and abuse of her mother, Felecia McCarron. According to an indictment filed by the Portage County Sheriff’s Office and obtained by Right Wing Watch, Weaver was charged with three felony charges of robbery, tampering with evidence, and obstruction of justice. She was also arrested for a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence.

Having worked for the Corps of Engineers for many years, I can assure you that if COE had anything to do with building the thing it would not have fallen down. Furthermore, parts of it would not have accidentally been built in Mexico. As any former Corps employee would tell you there are contractors out there who will try to cut corners on construction costs if they aren’t monitored.
The Corps can take years to get things done and cost a lot of money, but when something finally goes into the ground, it is usually done right.
It’s also really distracting when you are fighting a war on two fronts and transporting and murdering thousands and thousands of Jews and political dissadents.
The inefficiency there really struck home for the troops on the Eastern front. The railroad stock that was desperately needed for supply was unavailable to them, because Eichmann’s boys had priority.
That didn’t distract the boss very much, though, because Himmler and Eichmann were in charge of that, while Hitler spent his time telling the General Staff they didn’t know what they were doing, forbidding even small tactical withdrawals, and micromanaging the whole front.
