Iran guards say strait of Hormuz ‘closed’ to hostile shipping
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said that they had turned back three ships trying to transit the strait of Hormuz, adding the route was closed to vessels travelling to and from ports linked to its “enemies”.
“This morning, following the lies of the corrupt US president claiming that the strait of Hormuz was open, three container ships of different nationalities… were turned back after a warning from the IRGC Navy,” the Guards said on their Sepah News website.

So far, it looks like Trump is still planning to attend the Saudi wealth fund investment event in Miami Beach this Friday. Instead of focusing on the war. He flies down to MAL every weekend anyway, but this makes it a three day weekend. Haven’t seen much pushback on this in the media yet.
Jared is scheduled to speak also. I guess this is more important than negotiating with the Iranians.

Hegeth’s ‘Orwellian’ Attack on Anthropic
U.S. District Judge Rita Lin of San Francisco granted a preliminary injunction blocking the Pentagon’s designation of Anthropic as a supply chain risk and its demand that all federal contractors cease doing business with the AI company. The judge found that “these measures appear designed to punish Anthropic” for going public about its refusal to allow DoD to use its products “in fully autonomous lethal weapons or the mass surveillance of Americans.”
“Nothing in the governing statute supports the Orwellian notion that an American company may be branded a potential adversary and saboteur of the U.S. for expressing disagreement with the government,” Lin wrote.
The judge delayed the effect of her ruling for seven days to allow the Trump administration to appeal it.
This is a big story for government contractors. A lot of them use Anthropic and don’t want to have to adopt a different LLM.
Anyway think about the disagreement. Kegsbreath wants an AI weapon that will kill without a human in the loop. That scares the shit out of anybody who truly thinks about it. Now there are defensive weapons that can be programed to launch without somebody pulling a trigger because their isn’t time, but that isn’t what Kegsbreath is talking about. He is talking about turning an AI brained robot loose on a conventional battlefield. One of the problems with AI is they tend to use nuclear weapons faster than humans. Skynet anyone?
