The Memelord Is Leaving. For Now. DOGE Lives On.

If that’s the going price for causing one bout of mental anguish, I’d like to tell him what he owes me (and countless other people). I thought I’d seen some of the heights of people’s entitlement, but he really takes the cake.

References aren’t made to be checked, you know! They only exist to show that you did the work. Even if you did it badly, stupidly, maliciously, erroneously.

I suffer mental anguish every time he opens his steaming orifice on TV.

Where’s my $20 billion?

The employee said that although government was not as quick-footed as some preferred, it was not nearly as inefficient as the president and his stooges are trying to make it sound.

Here’s the thing.

Nobody wants to starve kids. It’s just that the federal government doesn’t want to pay to feed them. Fair enough.

Then give us back our taxes, Republicans. Return our savings, Republicans!

Of course he was canned. He displayed a small fiber of awareness and respect for the work, and the agency he was evaluating.

His experience echoes in reverse my experience leaving the military after my 5 year service as a young officer. While proud of my work, and that of my unit, I fully bought into the fantasy that “private industry” would be so much more advanced, technically and organizationally. Took less than a year in corporate America to realize that was bull. I worked in a successful, growing startup that performed well and succeeded in an emerging field. But in no way was it better than the government service that trained me and honed my skills.

A mafia employee cannot be seen showing integrity to anyone group the organization. It will destroy group cohesiveness, leading to poor morale.

At some point in that doge kid’s life, he must’ve learned some integrity. Not good! Best to nip that sort of thing in the bud, before it becomes the problem spreads to other individuals within the doge organization.

Before AI, I dealt with lawyers who found a headnote and didn’t read the case or notice the headnote was a cite in a dissent. AI is just faster and even easier to use with the added bonus that sometimes it gets some things right. Some things never change, laziness among them.

The people who think Trump makes sense and is someone to follow are all excited by AI.
So, yeah, we’re doomed.

Former Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) pushed Republicans to speak out on President Trump’s foreign policy in a Thursday opinion piece for The Washington Post.

“That brings us to Congress — particularly my fellow Republicans. The responsibility to speak out now rests with you,” he added.

I suppose it is good he is speaking out but he lost his soul (at latest) when he voted to confirm Kavanaugh. Flake used his power when he had it to destroy America’s critical infrastructure.

I used to be a college history professor. If some students had put half the time into, you know, doing the work instead of weaseling out of it, they would all have gotten top grades in my classes.

It was obvious from the get-go that in order to cut $2 trillion from the federal budget, almost everyone and everything would have to be eliminated. A price Musk was willing to pay, but he found it hard to do as a practical matter.
