It’s not as if the insurrection on 1/6 isn’t on video. It’s recorded for eternity and the people whose lives were threatened and are now embracing and kissing the man who did that while trying - and failing - to destroy democracy and the Constitution will forever be shamed. Especially Mitch McConnell. History will record them as worse traitors, cowards, and unprincipled than even Trump.

Long, but very revealing article about the water wars in Arizona. Beyond the obvious conclusion that places like Arizona or Florida naturally attract a disproportion of unstable people looking to find themselves, it paints a pretty bleak picture. Civilizations end through a combination of reckless resource exploitation and an ideological rigidity that prevents them from finding rational solutions to existential problems.

Article in today’s NY Times concerning the location of a stretch of highway named for TSF (I refuse to type his name). It’s at the end of the Oklahoma Panhandle – Cimarron County, OK. The heart of the Dust Bowl. That particular stretch of highway (SH 3) is known as the “Road to Nowhere”.
