Really bad lawyer goes around the conspiracy theory bend and is fired by a crazy client. This is news? Why?

I think she is a paranoid schizophrenic, highly functional, but clearly hearing voices. I am not joking. She needs help.

These are not mutually exclusive. She delivers the crazy the same way Steven Wright delivered jokes - understated and soft-spoken with a nugget of pure lunacy right in the middle.

Sometimes I wish I was amoral and/or deluded enough to grift on this scale. But alas, here I am, earning an honest living.

I would really like to see some reporting on just what the hell happened to her. She’s getting a fair amount of the same kind of “WTF?” from former collogues you see about Lindsay Graham.

Sidney Powell used to be something of a wondurkind. Zipped through UNC UG in 21 months, got into UNC Law at the age of 19 over the objection of the then-admissions dean who felt like she’d shown “contempt for the undergraduate institution, truncating my education and demeaning the educational process,” as she put it. Possibly he had a point.

She was involved in several high profile cases as a prosecutor.

And as best I can tell, her radicalization seems to have begun when she made a shit ton of money defending (often successfully) several of the Enron malefactors on appeal.

All you have to do is abandon all contact with reality.

What does it take for anyone to believe this nonsense? Are their brains so addled that they can’t see this junk for what it is: nonsense? Are they, like Don the Con, this divorced from reality?

Do most, many, some (?) of the 70 plus million who voted for the con man believe this craziness?

Ah, no wonder we are in the mess we are in.

Well, if she never represented the campaign or represented Trump personally, she never billed the campaign, and all she was doing was PR and not legal work, then there’s no attorney-client privilege and no other immunity from discovery. If someone can eventually get her, Trump or a representative of the campaign into a deposition, then any and all communications among these clowns ought to be fair game.

What a bunch of idiots.

Thanks for the history. For some reason I was picturing her as springing full-grown straight from the brow of Rupert Murdoch, clothed in a leopard skin coat and a pill box hat.

Mainly that she has no idea what the word “communist” means. I would bet that all of these Republicans, if asked to define it, would, at best, come up with single-word definitions, either “democrat” or “evil.”

Prickley or Powell, who drew on their eyebrows more realistically?

And this woman is still a member of the American Bar Association? Just askin’ . . .

I’ve been waiting for QAnon and David Icke to cross-pollinate.
