How difficult is it to dupe a rube like Larry King?
Yeah, King was a dipshit, and the Israeli hustler was all sleaze and self-inflation, but neither of them were essential to the operation. This is just a snapshot from the current state of the war to displace reality.
Reality wins a few skirmishes, such as with the video evidence of police abusing power and breaking the law, but it is losing badly overall.
The Chinese government has money, time, and a long term plan. 9 years ago our PBS station ran a show Hidden Treasures of Tibet - Hey, it was all about how the Buddhist monks had allowed all these temples and paintings to get run down and dirty and the Chinese government was restoring them and opening them to tourists. And the palace, like no other palace in the entire world, had jail cells in it, proving the Dali Lama was a despotic ruler. The whole thing was so odd - with some white minor league professor spending time telling us how Tibetans didn’t value their own cultural treasures, etc.
I took a look at the end credits - the major funder was a “Ministry of Chinese Information and Cultural Heritage” - but probably no conflicts of interest there.
Like Guiliani, these media whores are VERY long-lived.
