The Diet Mountain Dew Race For Most Blue-Collar Politician Is Derailed By RFK Jr's Extreme Beliefs

On the eve of the 2024 election, there’s little I can use this platform to say that will relieve the collective bubbling, ulcer-forming acid in all of our stomachs, so here’s a more digestible tale — though RFK Jr. would not refer to it as such. This presidential campaign cycle has been weird for many…

Heard an interview of some public health guy a while back; said vaccines are the most significant public health development ever, and have increased US life expectancy by decades.

DFG and Worm-Brain are both blithering idiots.

Well there is also sewage sanitation, but that is not per se a medical thing but a public infrastructure health thing.

Also, vaccines are one of older medical technologies as well as one of the best developed. A standard vaccine formula was developed in 1796 by English physician Edward Jenner. However, variolation against small pox that proceeded a standardized formulated vaccine may date back 1000 BC in India, according to my quick google search (I did not know it went back that far, but I did know it had been around awhile).

So, it is sort of like Kennedy Jr. wants to fight using the wheel, to use an analogy.

Who in a sense was never really here but regardless will exit soon.

There is the paranoid style familiar in US politics – an amplified turn to the fearful not restricted to RIght-wing rhetoric albeit more common there – and there is ressentiment, psychologically familiar in its creation of and hostility towards ‘others’ but the confluence of these known elements and the civic elevation in status of people like RFKjr and, yes, Trump – individuals who in normal society could barely rise above the ranks of cranks and fools --just seems strangely ominous in its own right, as if it were a harbinger of deep cultural disintegration.

Even an unequivocal Harris victory, joyful as it may be, cannot eradicate the sense of unease this past decade has generated.

OK, so why the need for the back door?

I have one word for the anti-vax morons: polio.
Yeah, it was a thing back when I was a kid, and then the Salk vaccine appeared, and poof! no longer a problem.

And Salk took no money from it. Looking at you, you bastards in Big Pharma.
