I would favor educating voters than appealing to voters.
My example for my state of MO is that the Republicans have held power here for over 20 years. It was a Republican controlled legislature that loosened our gun laws. And kept loosening our gun laws.
Now in the past 2-3 years the Republicans in Jeff City are complaining about the crime in St Louis and KC. Well duh, when any one, and I mean even those that can’t pass a FBI background check, can legally purchase a gun.
But what I’m reading locally is people complaining about their cars being broken into, more break ins than thefts of cars. Which set off discussions over “do you leave your car locked, or unlocked”. And I keep screaming "why don’t you fucking park your car(s) in the garage? " And why in the Hell do you leave your gun in your car?
