First, off to the Y for daily de stressing
Seems like as good as campaign slogan as anything:
Vote republican if you want to sacrifice your children’s future to the god of retribution.
Retribution swings both ways though.
Make your choice:
Vote Red for Retribution.

The Senate is down two Republicans. If it wants to end this war all congress has to do is defund some of the Pentagon’s favorite weapon system boondoggles until the war ends.
Is there a distinct Susan Collins who is a senator from Nebraska, or has Maine’s Senator Susan Collins somehow become a senator from Nebraska?

Surprised that TPM isn’t providing a running report and commentary on either the Clayton or esp. the Blanche hearing.
“That’s a heck of a response for a stolen cat.” ![]()
It’s like “totally new war” has replaced “infrastructure week.”
That Clayton and Blanche even have a chance at confirmation shows the extent to which congressional oversight has been smothered by Trump-induced hyper-partisanship.
somehow these strikes are distinct hostilities governed by a different clock
Congress is pointless. The Court is incomprehensible.

The online Weather Channel forecast for the Northeast explains why the cloudy sky here is more like a thick haze aloft: fires to the west of us. The Upper Midwest is even more affected.
Wild fires are burning in numerous places in the western and (upper) midwestern U.S. and in western Canada, creating hazardous conditions for breathing sometimes thousands of miles away. Trump-induced horrors so constantly preoccupy us and our news sources that other news is neglected. Among other results, Americans are not united in their concern for one another and, in the case of another summer of serious wild fires, awareness of the effects of climate change.
Are we at war?
So, “peace with honor” is just around the corner? /s
