He tries to move people’s opinions the least amount he needs to get the results he wants. So he goes: Look, I agree with you that our candidates are not the best. I tell the truth and I’m with you on that. But I need their support. And you love me. Right? So vote for them!
He’s trying to goose turnout among even the most reluctant of his supporters.
And Gleason happened to be one of them. He was part of the Hollywood contingent for Nixon as well as a participant in Anita Bryant led rally for decency in the Orange Bowl in 1969.
President Donald Trump said Friday that he feels “badly” for the seven men accused of gang-raping a young woman at Cornell University, as well as the Ivy League school, the local DA and university police after New York Gov. Kathy Hochul appointed state Attorney General Letitia James to investigate them all over the allegations and their handling
The comments Friday afternoon were Trump’s second remarks about the Cornell situation, and his second without offering any empathy for the unnamed victim. The lawsuit alleges that she suffered shocking sexual abuse over the course of several hours at the fraternity house after what was initially a consensual encounter with two of the frat members while she was drunk.
The Epstein files were created under the first Trump administration, then AG Barr handed over the material to the incoming Biden administration in 2021.
To believe that this kind of radioactive proof is still in those files, you’d have to believe that Barr either failed to destroy it before the hand-off, or that the Biden administration sat on it for four years and did nothing before handing the files back over to the Trump administration in 2025.
I’m not saying Trump never did anything criminal with regard to young girls, I just have trouble believing proof of that is in the Epstein files. At this point it’s just a distraction that doesn’t get us anywhere.
Control the House and Democrats control the conversation and the narrative. It should be Epstein all day, every day. Take it from a distraction and keep it on the Front Page.
I disagree that the Epstein files are useful as a political message. There are a hundred other things that are real, that we can point to as horrible things Trump has done or is doing and are out there in plain sight. The tariffs, the Iran war, the desecration of the East Wing and his stupid ballroom, the decline in the US status in the world, the blatant corruption and self-enrichment.
There is nothing in the Epstein files that we can prove or demonstrate. Just innuendo and guilt by association that’s too easy to dismiss. Focus on what’s real and people can see in front of them, right now. It’s bad enough.
Trump should know seeing as he is the world’s legal expert on gang rape as he would be quick to point out/s.
And he’s not dead yet. So, another day of trump on tap.
