The best thing and the worst thing about the modern GOP is that they go ‘whole hog’. Once they pick a stance they go all in, with no equivocation. Recently, the GOP went full White Nationalist, and now is officially becoming the party of insurrection. I wonder what’s next…?

Why the F are Democrats letting this Alito story fade?? Impeachment proceedings need to be filed for both Thomas and Alito! Yes, they won’t go anywhere in the House but it keeps the story alive and makes Republicans have to play defense on this! LET Republicans defend this BS!!

What was Rudy thinking? You don’t outrun an indictment. They just go arrest you. As my Crim Pro professor explained, there are two questions. Do you have the body? Then are you going to kill it or put it in a cage?

This may be true at the federal level, but in my Republican controlled state there is infighting between Republicans.

I’m not going to report it, but I’d sure rather we didn’t do the explicitly violent pics here. Attempting to sanitize it with some cheesy “vote” labels over the muzzle flashes just doesn’t really cut it.

Democrats have a tendency to try to pander to those people that would never vote for them, instead of taking care of those that do. Same the Justices, they are trying to avoid embarrassing the reactionary crooks that would never vote for anything Democrats favor.

There is a curious dynamic at work in politics these days. Trump does not appear to be trying to court voters to his standard. If he were, he would be reaching out to Nikki Haley voters and trying to moderate his stances. Instead, he is rejecting her voters and doubling down on extreme positions. Rather than trying to appeal to swing voters, he seems to be trying to whip up his right-wing base to engage in violence on his behalf.

My guess is that the Trump and consequently the GOP are in full Civil War mode, not in trying to win the election per se. The question is if they actually have people to run the ground game for their war. They certainly have Alito and Thomas onboard to sanctify it afterward.

The campaign spokesman called it “malicious defamation”. Come on, now. I guess they’re going to claim that TFG is the only one who can use malicious defamation. Perhaps they think he has a copyright on the practice.
That said, I doubt that the threat of a lawsuit holds the same power that it held in the past.
