The Absurdity At The Heart Of Trump’s Historic Criminal Trial

They need more people to scam money out of.

Looks like desecration of the flag. Good lord, I have never ever understood why people who clothe themselves in the flag think that it is patriotic. The outfit is clownish.

As a group, Mormons have always been tepid at best in their support for that guy. There’s just too much wrong with him, from their perspective. Anti-Mormon bigotry runs deep in his fundo-christianist voter base. He’s a liar and a cad. His ugly anti-immigrant rhetoric clashes with the Mormon missionary experience. And so on.

But the best part of the article is that it’s dragging the rest of the zombie Trumpublican GOP down with him. It is finally starting to sink in that a political party that will tie itself so slavishly to the candidacy of such an awful man may not be a good political party.

I know. I think by bothsiderism I meant they’re trying to bend over backwards to point out how jury selection is pivotal for or against tRump. Like, duh. Who doesn’t already know this. To this point, the coverage is drawing more attention to the process than they should imo. It happens everyday in America. If tRump doesn’t put the klieg light on the jurors, the media sure will. I wouldn’t be surprised if any potential juror is drawn away from being a jurist purely on account of the media attention which already promises to be insane, and nothing to do with tRump per se, tbh.

The last time Trump straddled a line, it got him charged with a felony in NY.

Some days I wish that flag burning amendment had been added to the Constitution in the 90s. Then all these fools could have been prosecuted for desecration.

I have faith in the jury process. But only because I trust 2/3 of the selectors in this instance.

While Trump is in court, his Truth Social account is maniacally cranking out deranged post after post, likely being done by Dan Scavino.

One needs to place a chair on the sidewalk, and someone to sit on it, several days in advance of the event. Every New Yorker knows that…

I read the same /similar article on NYT poll this weekend which was exceedingly negative. A multitude (40-50%) of poll respondents thought the economy was better in the prior admin than the current admin (25%). Meanwhile, the poll gave no opinion or insight as to how these respondents arrived at this conclusion.

The authors of the poll seem completely unaware of their responsibility as journalists to actually inform the public. Like here’s a poll that says “you suck at your job” and they report on that as if it was news.
