Yup, that’s President Goldilock’s M.O. Whoever does the best ass kissing gets the job, so apply the chapstick thoroughly & pucker up, baby.
Trump’s phone call specifically requested investigations on two issues – Crowdstrike/server and Biden/Burisima.
Mulvaney (finally) admits the military aid was held up to get an investigation. His argument seems to be “Trump mentioned Crowdstrike investigation first, so the request for a Biden investigation doesn’t count.” Makes no sense.
Damn, that deserves to be a meme with it’s own special Pizza Rat icon, to be used whenever referencing any member of Trump’s gang.
OT. How do you post the entire twitter item (with the picture and stats in the post) here in comments? I tried it using the html from twitter and only got the statement and a signature line of the original Tweet. Sorry for the dumb question.
I agree with you. They have admitted to themselves that this info is going to come out and in great detail. Better to start the spin on it now. Mulvaney was acting on orders.
I simply click on the tweet, copy the address, then paste into the comments.
Easy Peasy.
I was really worried that Rachel wouldn’t have anything to talk about tonight.
Is Mulvaney a double agent? The new strategy appears to have something to do with massive self-incrimination, but I can’t quite make it out. Can someone enlighten me?
Mulvaney admitted to a crime on camera. This is where we are in this administration. He also committed an Emoluments Clause violation. It’s a criminal two-fer.
Richard Engle was furious on MSNBC. “Of course the Kurds are not happy. We have given their homeland to Turkey. They are NOT celebrating”
This spin is the best they could concoct. That it wasn’t illegal (Biden dirt)…but rather for the good of the Country ( server and Ukraine corruption). And knowing the base will swallow it with relish…they have the hubris to really think the rest of the voters with a modicum of intelligence will swallow it too.
The “transcript” of the 7/25 call was simply parsed notes. And damning as hell. With three obvious ellipses. And self-incriminating. I wonder if an exact rendition of the call will ever surface…or a tape from us…or Ukraine. Guarantee it will be far, far more incriminating than what they messaged and willingly released to the public
Thank you!
Maybe they should go, stay there, and in true Trumpian fashion, refuse to pay at the end.
It looks like reaction strategy of the day has been formulated: “Yeah, we did it, but it was all about Hillary and that pesky server, definitely not Biden, don’t know where you got that thing about Biden. It was that Hillary server thingy. For sure.”
I read the PDF of Ambassador’s Sondland’s opening statement to House of Representatives and see there are exactly 10 instances of “Biden” in it. His first mention of Biden is his statement that he worked briefly with Biden’s office on some anodyne anti-cancer initiative and that he admires “his [Biden’s] long record of public service.” The remaining sentences about Biden are statements that Sondland had no idea that Joe Biden or his Hunter son might be the target of the quid pro quo.
So his strategy is essentially that of Sergeant Schultz from Hogan’s Heroes…to proclaim “I know nothing!”
Reporter- "So how does the campaign justify going after Biden for using his office to enrich himself in light of the president pushing the G7 meeting to his Doral Resort? " (paraphrasing here)
Mulvaney-smiling "Oh, we’ll go after Biden…
Amazingly nasty, ungracious, shameless rat parasite, this little (rhymes with Rick)
Oh I don’t think Mulvaney had to be shown, forced or coerced in drinking the same piss water, he was gladly drinking from that fountain.
It really is the true example of “you are known by the company that you keep” or “birds of feather flock together”.
I guess I don’t notice anything very startling about Mulvaney’s admissions. He just frames everything in a way which suggests he is deaf to irony. Everything that Trump proposes is just a good idea, and why would you even question that, is essentially Mulvaney’s position. This as opposed to his press secretary, who denies things happened as they actually unfolded and makes up implausible explanations for things that can’t be denied.
Welp, i suspect they won’t be letting Mulvaney out of the clown car for awhile again. If anyone’s still in charge there, that is …
There’s something about all this that bothers me, and perhaps one of the folks on this board can answer it:
Something doesn’t add up. Why would Trump, who won the election, be all that interested in electoral corruption emanating from Ukraine? I mean, he won, why would he give a shit?
Am I not seeing something here?
Pizza Rat helping his friend Rick Perry (or is that Gordon Sondland?)
“We sat around one night, we were back in the dining room going over it with our advance team and we had the list and he goes, ‘what about
Doralwithdrawing US military forces from northern Syria?’ And I was like, ‘that’s not the craziest idea, that makes perfect sense,’” Mulvaney said.
I’m beginning to see how decisions are made in Chiselin’ Trump’s White House.
