Anyone who has ever “driven” a boat in a boat parade knows it must be done at No Wake speed, else this happens.

Of course there’s “no evidence of foul play” - everyone knows Austin is basically the Seattle/San Francisco/Portland of Texas and the so called authorities there are all deep state never Trumpers. I heard there was a secret Antifa underwater demolition team that went in there and drilled holes in some of the boats just to embarrass our President. Of course the left-wing lame-stream media will never tell you that…

Deputies have found no evidence of foul play, she said.

I’m sure that there were plenty of other “foul” things around, though.

Sounds like a metaphor for the Trump campaign.

I live in Austin, it was not windy here yesterday. This was : A) Divine intervention or B) as someone else noted trump supporters not being smart enough to stay at No Wake speeds as any boat parade needs. Take your pick, the whole fiasco is just hilarious

Guess that’s one of those good news/bad news headlines.

Well depending on the the type of boats the two that sank to the bottom were, there is some fouling still going on “under the sea” as it were.

I am grateful there were no injuries or fatalities. As I watched the video it was immediately obvious to me in a couple of areas that (A) the lake was being churned up by the combined wakes of the larger boats and that the speed was increasing causing worsening condtions. The little boats had very little freeboard to begin with and there were more large people in them than probably was allowed by their design. The swamping began immediately. (B) the people, as far as I could see on the video, were not wearing life vest/jackets. A major violation of good boating practice. The initial response to the swamping was compounded by the people all trying to find floatation devices rather than trying to take action to prevent water from coming aboard. Bad behavior rather than bad luck from my point of view.

O I thought so myself when I first read about this yesterday. And a boat on Lake Havasu caught on fire.

The gods were having a metaphor contest.
