Texas AG Under Investigation For Corruption Now Isn’t Naming All His Donors | Talking Points Memo

It’s almost as if the criminals have simply taken over control of Texas.

(And, don’t sleep on Missouri; the whole state is a massive crime scene.)

This might explain Gaetz’s freak-out last week. Whatevs, it’s nice to see things are moving along. I can wait.

That’s become my mantra.

I can’t help you. I only know a light bulb joke about light bulbs that really want to change. :slightly_frowning_face:

I get the distinct impression, without even seeing any club members, that the NYYRC is full of incels who joined because they thought it was a good way to meet chicks.

… keep imagining that the conversation had a lot of …
“Remember that girl that looked really young?”
…uh … which one?
" the little blonde with the button nose who looked like she was in junior high school"
… uh… um… which one?

Ah. Never heard that one. I’m famous for writing my own material, see.

They knew the ages of these girls. I’d read Matty and Joely were caught on video, creating fake ID’s for them. It was one of the 27 charges Joel never had to face, because he’s talking. And talking. And talking…

[EDIT] Oops I was wrong. Joely did plead guilty to “producing a false identification document.” So, even worse for Matty.

Ah, Matt, don’t worry about it. Tell you what, let’s listen to some music!

Virginia — Wisconsin on the Atlantic! All the corruption! None of the cheese!

Because Youngkin wants someone overseeing the elections who’s “looking out for the integrity of the election process” and who is “not trying to be political”

That moment with your morning coffee when you realize that your definition of “anticipate” is far different from Maggie Haberman’s definition…

This and the Barr and Esper books are among the most anticipated from former Trump officials > https://t.co/hUl0kUlRY5

Well, I do anticipate not buying or reading them. That’s a kind of anticipation.

OT, but a sign of the times in which we live:

And here is a Twitter thread that dives into, and comments on, the minutes of the meeting in question: https://twitter.com/janecoaston/status/1486468694540750849

ETA: If you read the minutes, the real objection seems to be that while, yes, the Holocaust was absolutely a horrible thing and kids should learn about it, they shouldn’t be exposed to treatments of it that don’t disguise its horribleness. Snowflake alert!, in other words.

(Full disclosure: I taught Maus long ago; doing so was a formative reading experience for both me and my students.)
