Tennessee Republican Joins The Growing Ranks Of House GOP Retirements | Talking Points Memo

True fact no matter what the “we care about affordable health care” spin is: white male republican Evangelical doctors run for Congress to keep women in their place (pregnant, at home, on public assistance, legally discriminated against and paid less than men, paying out of pocket for birth control) and to keep Darwin out of the classroom.

They don’t care if they go full Trumpian. I’m certain they already have a more virulent candidate just waiting in the wings.

The question is, is there a Dem to run against him and how quickly can that campaign be up, running, and fully funded?

And here’s the cognitive dissonance that there isn’t anything strong enough to fight against. It’ll never change with these folks.

There is no need to vote when, as Mark Twain said, “We have the best government that money can buy.”

Roe represents ruby-red upper Est Tennessee, and whoever runs as a Republican is his likely replacement.

Sad, but true.

By their lights (most of them), only Trump stands up for the white man; everybody else is pushing them to tolerate brown folk and give up their dissipating majority.

True, that doesn’t make sense but that’s what the real reason is.

Yeah then there’s a more modern phrase, “Corporations are people, my friend,” Romney said.

It always amazes me that people think it’s progressive to say demeaning things about people in Appalachia.

I actually almost voted for him in the Republican primary when he first ran because the Republican incumbent was much worse! At least Roe was smart enough to be a doctor. Sadly, voting in the Democratic primary is pointless.

Do it anyway.

Oh, they are simply bystanders who were confused regarding their good Samaritan status. In a sense, Gym, Meadows and Gaetz are at least honest in their activities, they engage whether in bad faith or not. The ones who are silent are worse, attempting to hide, yet by doing nothing end up enabling this evil and incompetence.

I do but there’s not always more than one Dem running.

It’s still the right thing to do.
Participation is the only way we’re ever going to get more Dems running in Tennessee (I’m in Knoxville, being “served” by the execrable former county mayor Tim Burchett) and I know how it feels.

Twelve years is still a long time - could be considered a second career!

Is twelve years enough to be able to draw retirement?

" After working hard to make sure Americans with full time jobs have no access to good health care and endangering social security, I will retire with a fat pension and excellent health care thanks to the fact that they paid their taxes. G’bye suckers."

Don’t let the door slam you in the ass as you leave

…and just which Trump ‘policies’ are those? You guys have changed your ‘beliefs’ to fit the latest tweet. No morals, values or ethics. But hey. You do you.

Nothing beats an ice cold glass of Medicade after a day in the sun.
