Supreme Court Temporarily Reinstates Fed Governor Trump Fired

Originally published at: Supreme Court Temporarily Reinstates Fed Governor Trump Fired

The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday to keep fired Governor Lisa Cook on the Federal Reserve Board for now, at least temporarily defying President Trump’s wishes. In a brief, unsigned order, the Court deferred the government’s application for a stay until after oral arguments in January 2026.

I’m sorry, what the what? Maybe they realized if they allowed this, there’s no way to stop him from firing Jerome Powell.

I guess the conservative justices still need some more time to exchange their USD holdings for cryptocurrency and foreign real estate.

Every little bit, no matter how (seemingly) small or temporary, chips away at the carefully-curated aura of invincibility – every tiny tug by Toto, revealing even a brief glimpse of the pathetic little man behind the curtain helps ultimately and inevitably break this Oz wannabe’s fever-hold over the press, public, and even office holders.

Of course, “the economy” is vital, but it appears that to the radicals on the Supreme Court, it’s money that matters. Not the law, not the norms of government, not our civil rights, not our traditions of democracy, but pretty much just money.

Of course Lisa Cook should remain, as should all the Democrat appointees to the NLRB and other boards. The fact the court possibly allows Cook to remain while allowing the felon-in-chief to fire democrats from other boards speaks to the court’s illegitimacy and corruption.

I’m going to laugh my ass off when the non-corrupt 3 use the ruling from the December 2025 case saying TSF can do whatever he wants as precedent to allow him to fire Lisa Cook. Turnabouts a bitch, and pretending the Fed is different from the other agencies they’ve allowed him to dominate should be called out for the horseshit it is

I wonder how much, if any of this, is the corrupt 6 looking at what happened with Fat Man and Little Boy yesterday, combined with the government shutdown and the failure/utter inability of the Republicans to govern, and even the corrupt 6 going “whoa. We still need some adults in the room.”

This was an easy call because it was about protecting their money.

Vice President JD Vance has an offer for Senate Democrats to end the government shutdown, he told “Fox and Friends” on Wednesday.

Join onto the Republicans’ continuing resolution, and he’ll head to the Capitol “right now” to work with Democrats on extending insurance subsidies for the Affordable Care Act, the line in the sand Democratic party leaders have drawn in the government funding fight.

“But only after they’ve reopened the government,” Vance said. “You can’t reward this exercise in hostage taking, which is what we would be doing if we allow the government opening to be conditional on the Democrats’ policy disagreement.”

Yeah, that is loaded with opportunity for the Democrats.

Lisa Graves who was chief counsel for the Judiciary Committee under Senator Leahy, among other government jobs, has just published a book, “Without Precedent: How Chief Justice Roberts and his Accomplices Rewrote the Constitution and Dismantled Our Rights”. If you’re wondering how the Supreme Court got this way, this book will help sort that out. Lisa Graves is amazing, fighting the good fight, exposing the corruption. Please check it out!

It’s all over the country. The audience behavior at the Ryder Cup. Throwing dildos at women’s basketball games. Obnoxious adults at children’s sporting events.

It looks like even this Court has second thoughts about allowing a person who bankrupted 4 Casinos near our financial institutions.

The Court is corrupt and doing its smoke and mirrors thing. The conservative justices are lapdogs that will come back to brownnosing and nutlicking Pedo. The courts are not the right way to resolution. It has seemed that no Democratic president has been smart enough appoint a Federal Reserve Chair or their own FBI Director. President Obama did not fight for his right to appoint an Supreme Court justice. Don’t we have our own ideas because I am not sure that we are really that stupid?

It would be better for Democrats to fire all Republican Fed Governors when they take power in the future. Deal with Wall Street effectively if it misbehaves. Politics is not a spectator sport. You have to work hard and play hardball.

Yes! We can see the partisan hacks of the SCOTUS majority for what they are and mock their transparent panic about messing with the fed -but not any other congressionally mandated spending or independent board. AND ALSO be glad that Lisa Cook still has her job, because it’s correct on the merits and puts a pinprick in trump’s aura of invincibility.

Thank goodness that the Supreme Court is there to stand as a bulwark against Trump’s lawless actions! /s

I was talking to a Republican banker last night, the president of a community sized bank. He was adamant that the Fed remain independent of the politicians. He said that he thought most all bankers felt the same way. I think Donald might have picked the wrong fight.
