More recently, patents have been filed for such batteries for “mobile electronics”, which, since several of the world’s biggest phonemakers have gotten into the electric car business, is telling. I recently rented a Lynk & Co electric car and found it to have so many shared phone features it felt like a device for carrying four people and some luggage. It was kind of bossy, however. Huawei’s recent patent announcement has been hyped quite a bit, but a car with over 1,800 miles on a single charge certainly will go a long way to curing range anxiety.
