Not surprised, but everyone needs to remember - this is not FINAL and should not be seen as the SCOTUS regaining some insights into women’s rights or reproductive health. It is a political move to try to keep the Electorate from throwing more ReThugs out of office this fall. Nothing more.

Alito calls abortifacents illegal, but that’s not the case at all…he might want it that way, but he probably also wants to make birth control methods generally illegal, that’s really the end goal of the anti-abortion movement. That is of course a great way to create more abortions, stopping a pregnancy from happening is the best way to make the need for an abortion disappear, but it’s pretty clear that the anti-abortion movement is actually an anti-women’s-freedom movement.

Ask me any question about it. I obey it religiously every day. My family attends regular weeklong seminars to refresh our knowledge of it and, frankly, all laws from the 1800s. We’re real good citizens.

IKR? There are so few things one can rely on in these unsettled times. I mean, I find myself on the same side, on particular issues, with people like FTucker Carlson and MTG.
