If you scratch the surface of any Evangelical Church, you are going to find “somebody who knows somebody” who will help the little "christian"girls out of their predicament. Hell, half the time the preacher is the baby daddy.

Your thinking is a mistake. There is internal logic in what they are doing. I think you meant to use the term “moral conscience”; there is no moral compass to what they are doing as it is purely reactionary to their own internal fears and desires.
