It beats anything from Broyhill.

Not sure I understand you. This IS Mar a Lardo. It’s a superseding indictment in SDFL.

That’s a fair point. If it rolls over after a week or so, flooding the place to damage data that was probably already overwritten was a pretty major self own.

No one ever said TFG was the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I have never seen such an innocent man surround himself with so many fine innocent men and accidentally have crimes committed in their vicinity so many times.

Yup. If magnetic disk, the disk cartridge (or magnetic platters if necessary) can be removed and moved to another drive by someone with sufficient expertise. High density modern disks are air (and so water) tight, as they often use helium so that the drive heads can “fly” closer to the disks.

Likewise the components of flash media are sealed (encapsulated in plastic chip cases in general). They can be de-soldered by an expert and moved to another circuit board for reading.

Given the storage requirements for surveillance cameras I would bet the storage is magnetic. It’s cheaper, higher density, and for that type of footage high performance is not necessary.

Total Witch Hunt. Crackhead Jack Smith, if that’s his real name, must have smoked some extra crack today.

Retention is probably more like 90 days. I do wonder if there was something within the retention policy they didn’t want handed over.

Well, maybe. Without knowing the particulars of how their data room is set up and what kind of systems architecture they were following, it’s hard to say.

Shorting out the boxes would definitely affect any data that was currently being written to disk but depending on how long the drives were underwater, they could still be recovered. And then there would be back-ups (cloud or otherwise).

I guess that this ship of fools didn’t have anyone with enough IT savvy to simply do a disk-overwrite or use an obliterator program to “wash” the data away.

This superceding indictment on the MAL case alleges charges that are ball-busters. Trump was just plain stupid - this is a quasi-Mafia / Keystone Cop behavior.

The hubris to think ALL his employees in MAL would just look the other way while Nauta and De Oliviera were moving the “Beautiful Mind” boxes and wiping the surveillance tapes is just stunning. This is just classic Obstruction of Justice that not even Judge Cannon can de-rail.

Super duper-ceding indictments.

I approve.

TFG is not known for spending his own money, but I would be willing to bet that the security camera system was installed under the supervision of the Secret Service… and on the U.S. tax payer dime.

They should have used BleachBit and a hammer. Amateurs!
