We should get used to this…this will be the way Republicans give speeches for the next four years as they try to keep the Trump people engaged and get them on their side. I’m not kidding, we’re going to get more of this, not less, after Trump’s loss, as the base is rabid and will now require this kind of horse shit to stay engaged, and I doubt that any of the presidential contenders can win the primary without stepping into the pool.
It’s an open question how much this will affect the GA special election, but it’s clear Perdue and Loeffler think it will as they are standing by Trump in the hopes people vote for them. If the nonsense really gets going, they will really be stuck…any motion away from Trump will get them death threats along with the rest of the GA politicians, and if they don’t act somewhat reasonable they may lose enough supporters to lose. And, they are joined together, I think if one fails the insane litmus test they both lose supporters. It’s going to be one heck of an election, that’s for sure.

Some days the insanity is just too much. This is one of those days. Lin Wood ranting, Sidney Powell’s crazy ass error ridden filings, and Mike Flynn demanding Trump suspend the Constitution -that he swore an oath to -and Trump’s lie filled screed, makes me wonder if an invisible toxic substance was sprayed on these people and made them nuts. Batshit crazy all of it.

I think most of us have adjusted to a certain level of bonkers behavior from the Trump party, but I am starting to get a little concerned about how this ends. I don’t mean Trump somehow remaining in office, but the effects of this level of crazy going viral as sane Republicans simple hope this all just disappears by Jan 20. I don’t think it will
ETA: And there remains a greater than zero chance the 25th gets invoked before Jan 20. Maybe just 1% chance but that is crazy all by itself.
