The last remaining Space Shuttle in NASA’s fleet of orbiters that has yet to be deposited at its retirement home, Endevaour, began its final ferry flight Wednesday from Cape Canaveral, Florida, across the Southern U.S. at 7:22 a.m. EDT, NASA reported. The flight was delayed from its original start date of Monday due to inclement weather. After crossing over Florida, Mississippi, Texas and New Mexico over the next two days, it is scheduled to fly over northern California land at LAX between 11 a.m. and noon PDT on Friday, September 20.
