South Dakota Attorney General Involved In Fatal Car Crash

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) stated on Sunday evening that Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg had been involved in a fatal collision the night before.

So, he was “involved” in a fatal car crash but was unhurt enough to be able to verify it. Hmm, I wonder what that means, considering what party he belongs to…

I only had half a beer, your honor! I swear! I was on my home from church! Locusts! Satan!

You’re a white Republican? Dismissed! They other guy should have swerved!

I’m going to watch this with interest, since the Party of Personal Responsibility is heavily involved here.

Maybe his mask got in the way?

Forget it, Jake, it’s South Dakota…

“Involved” and “cooperating” means, I assume, he was driving…

High level Republicans in SD have a history of this kind of thing.

The Rapid City Journal reported that Ravnsborg was driving home to Pierre from Redfield after a state GOP dinner at Rooster’s Bar and Grill. He called 911 after the crash and was not injured himself. His spokesman told the newspaper that the AG “drinks lightly” and he does not think he was drinking at Rooster’s.

Yeah, attended state GOP dinner in a bar & grill on a Saturday night, didn’t drink, yet somehow involved in head-on car accident in which he wasn’t seriously hurt, at 10:30 PM. It’s possible, of course, but I doubt it. A lot of people are going to have to lie to make that stick.

Translation: Drunken Ravnsborg slammed his huge-ass truck unto a smaller vehicle. Law Enforcement working on covering up.

Yeah right. And republicans never lie either.

Y’all are such cynics.

Here’s his statement in full:

“I am shocked and filled with sorrow following the events of last night. As Governor Noem stated, not only am I fully cooperating with the investigation, I am leading it and I fully intend to continue do so moving forward.”

I’d like to hear the definition of “lightly”…

How could the spokesman claim this unless he was there or already spoke to people who were? Saying something like this without evidence is a sure sign of a coverup. It’s like “Officer, I was nowhere near the guy who was shot last night and I don’t even own a gun…Umm, we never said he was shot…Oops…”.

Definitely less than half a keg. He likes beer!

Some drink to Trump’s health, and if they kill someone on the way home, well, that’s the price of FreeDUMB, libtards! Others, though, have a different and “special” way of celebrating the man:

I suspect he doesn’t understand irony, much.

So, he’s leading the investigation into himself.

Convenient.

ETA: I was tricked!

It"a sad that we are all jumping to the conclusion that the AG was at fault and probably DUI. We have no hard evidence of this–the other driver could’ve been at fault or it could be a legit accident. Then again, we may be working with a predictive model based on past patterns of events, which tells us that of course the spokesman is lying his ass off and the police are covering up.

I think everyone here realizes all that. It’s just, well, yeah, he’s a Repub in a Deep Batshit state.
