President Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential race after his initial opponent, then-President Joe Biden, withdrew over worries about his age and mental sharpness.

But a year-plus into Trump’s four-year term, polls suggest the American people aren’t just increasingly unhappy with his job performance; they’re increasingly concerned about his mental capacity as well.

The unease is not at the levels it was with Biden, who was 81 when he dropped out of the race, but it’s growing as an issue for the 79-year-old Trump.

I wonder who gave lift to that unease with Biden in a race to make bank on article after article written. The media and press have a lot to answer for in creating this situation. They certainly had plenty of fodder to write the same articles and more on Trump. But oddly didn’t.

And where is that book from Jake Tapper on the feeble, mad king sacking America?

The Reuters-Ipsos poll showed 61% of Americans agreed that Trump has “become erratic with age.” Even 30% of Republicans agreed with that sentiment.

The survey harks back to some surveys in Trump’s first term, when many Americans grew to question his mental acuity. But while the percentage of registered voters saying he wasn’t “mentally stable” approached 50% in Quinnipiac University polling following the attack on the US Capitol in 2021, it never crested a majority — much less hitting 61%. (“Erratic” is, of course, not the same as “unstable.” But they are along the same lines.)

Just to clarify, it couldn’t have happened that way, because business-class jets always have a pilot (PIC, pilot in command) and a copilot who can fly the plane if something happens to the PIC. Also, the PIC is not going to give up command of the plane at a client’s order, regardless of whether he’s “fired” or not. It just doesn’t work like that. The PIC’s word is law when the aircraft is in the air, like the captain on a ship at sea, regardless of what the passengers in back have to say.

Whatever the actual story is about the event and how or why the PIC was “reinstated,” it was for a different reason. Maybe that hasn’t leaked yet.

So I guess it’s fairly common knowledge within the halls of the Capitol that several (many?) Republicans have engaged in sexual harassment? They must think being in Congress is like being in an exclusive club, like “this thing of ours”, where nothing damaging should ever get out. I wonder if they’ve had to take a blood oath, like the real guys do.

Remember, this was the USCG flying a USCG plane. This isn’t a “business jet with a client”.

The Russian Starlink accounts were hacked or “black” accounts.

Essentially Starlink created a whitelist of verified subscriptions and cut everyone not on that list out.

Does this mean Russia wasn’t paying for Starlink or somehow using those services illegally?

Isn’t “The Enforcer” the name of a sex toy?

Actually, the same principles apply. The PIC in a multi-engine aircraft is God’s Representative in the Sky. A passenger is just that: a passenger. Even DonOLD Drumpf on AF-One cannot remove the PIC–he’s just a passenger. (There are some rules about relieving the PIC around the PIC’s capacity or incapacity, but those things aren’t for the passengers to determine or enforce.)

On the ground, it’s a different matter.

So, a 5 yr old open investigation into Epstein for drug/prostitution money transfers by the DEA gets quietly killed by Chump I.

Excerpt:
The fact that no prosecution was ever undertaken is cause for suspicion, Wyden wrote in his letter. He wants an investigation into whether “DEA and DOJ during the first Trump Administration moved to terminate this investigation in order to protect pedophiles.”

I don’t believe that contravenes the command authority of the pilot while the plane is in the air. Lewandoski is a “special government employee (SGE)” and not in the chain of command as far as I know. I’m not even sure Noem as head of DHS can remove a pilot in the middle of a flight.
