Obviously false (as well as ridiculous) but one can’t help wondering why he would say it: why not just pray the viruses away? The long-time grifter’s penchant for gross rhetorical embroidery seems to be a mark of their success at the trade, an indicator of how long they’ve worked the marks and not been brought to book.

In 1919 Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes issued the well known words “The most stringent protection of free speech would not protect a man in falsely shouting fire in a theatre and causing a panic. It does not even protect a man from an injunction against uttering words that may have all the effect of force.” You do not need to be a progressive judge to modify that doctrine so it applies to the current situation.

Errr, the problem is not that they make themselves sick, it’s that they wander around touching things and make others sick.
Typhoid Mary was apparently an asymptomatic carrier of typhoid. Should be have been allowed to continue working in restaurants to protect her “free speech” rights? Nope, lock her up, and lock up anyone else knowingly contributing to the dissemination of deadly diseases.
I work in IT and as I have to explain to far too many people - “I’m not here to protect you from the Internet, I’m hear to protect the Internet from you…”
