Secret Service Flags New Round Of Potentially Violent DC Protests In Bulletin | Talking Points Memo

Well… Coming from VT, I can absolutely assure you that the roughly two cops in town are not enough to secure anything other than a drunk sleeping it off on a park bench. If that.

They will probably hit other cities where they think there won’t be much opposition.

That’s my fear. They already announced plans to hit all of them. Overwhelming force in D.C. will more likely lead to absolutely nothing happening there while people “stay local”.

Kind of late in the season for the park bench in that part of the world unless equipped with a serious down sleeping bag.

You know what I mean!

Some of our States could be quite vulnerable if these covidiots show up.

I think we’ll have months if not years of when no one’s looking they will emerge. Don’t think this was a one off, they were just testing it out and some of them may get really serious and be a little more stealth about how they attack things.

I  Edward Abbey.

I do too, but in reading some of his books years later, thought he had a bit of an ego that was tiresome. He launched me into the southwest.
Ed. A few years ago, I met a daughter of the head of a couple parks from Arches where Abbey had been. She grew up in Arches and knew Abbey as a kid. @castor_troy

Still can’t beat the classic. And as I read that during the years I was spending a lot of time out west hiking and traveling in all the big places, very formative.

Do you imagine that armed insurrectionists will try take over that little town?

and if the militias are spread out and you think that waters down the LE response, would any other LE come to the rescue of the town? Maybe I’m not sure what you meant, but if the issue is LE ability to confront armed insurrectionists, you have to consider where those insurrectionists might go. I figured they were already lined up to go to state capitals.

If they’re planning to hit all 50, that’s on the list. I presume other small states are in a similar position, not nearly equipped to handle anything serious.

Heavily armed small states with small police forces are at a likely higher risk than the bigger ones who have more people and toys.

Every state has some version of highway patrol/state troopers. It would seem prudent to bolster existing capitol police from those and other surrounding agencies. I’m fairly certain there are more police than there are insurrectionists.

Given how many cops have been found in the insurrection, once you subtract those…

This is getting wild:

Watching Martha Radatz again; she’s reporting that an Olympic Gold Medalist Swimmer
(Klete Keller-2008) was arrested. The fool is 6’6" and easily identified when he was seen in the Capitol Building. The idiot was wearing his Olympic Team JACKET!
One woman turned in her Mother and Uncle after seeing them harassing a Black woman.

My Gawd; Trumpists have infiltrated every nook of society…yet MSM (NYT) still wants to paint these folks as (just) Rural Blue-Collar Disenfranchised dupes.

What’s your prediction on the level and “forward progress” of the predicted riots? Or have you called it elsewhere?

Haven’t called it specifically. Let’s just say I’m highly concerned that we will see something this weekend in one or more States that makes last week look like a walk in the park, just on a more localized scale.

These folks are fucking off the chain, and that they largely got away with it last week is only emboldening them.

I hope you’re wrong, obviously.

Plasma cutter. No high pressure cylinders or explosive acetylene

I hope I am, too.

But I doubt it. Just look at the incitement even today in the House.

Those folks at home are watching the clips and nodding along.

As far as we know, Stephen Miller is still in the elevator descending to hell.
