It would also be interesting to know more about the USSS housecleaning Biden did as soon as he was sworn in. Who were they and why were they removed from the presidential security detail?

Tony Ornato (was on leave from the Secret Service) was the Assist. White House Chief of Staff and other people in the White House have told reporters that he was the one who gave the secret service agents their assignments. Word has it he was the one who assigned the drivers that day.
This is a paragraph from the Intercept and it is quite interesting and telling, of course Tony Ornato has no recollection of the conversation.
