SCOTUS Deals Another Blow To Trump’s Jan. 6 Stonewalling

Don’t forget stupid. His perception of the job of POTUS was so far from reality…

One more observation about Clarence Thomas. During the Anita Hill testimony and the Confirmation process, toward the end, Thomas made a series of statements which sounded conciliatory and magnanimous.

After the Confirmation it was as if those words had never been uttered.

Yes…I know the process has its shading and swerving of stances by the person to be confirmed…but in the case of Thomas, it was glaring.

I am always struck by how many photos there are of Trump making faces where he looks like a toddler. He looks like his Mom just told him no and he’s about ready to throw a tantrum.

What creeps me out about the guy is he has that weird, tiny mouth. But can produce that bullfrog style grin, straight line across ear to ear as well. It ain’t natural I’m telling ya, ain’t natural at all.

Thomas is old. He needs to retire. Resign. Croak. Go away. Whatever.

He was unqualified when Bush nominated him, and he has not grown into the role at all.

He’s a weak, mean, ugly little man who does not represent the type of men and women that should be members of the Supreme Court. Stupid Democrats, they just never have learned how to really fight the GOP, they have some successes, they make some stands that are right and successful, but then they let other shit slide by. And Thomas is some of that shit that slid by.

On Morning Joe today they had Craig Shirley giving his perspective on the Ukraine situation, I wasn’t really listening because he had been preceded by Andrea Greenspan spewing her MSM-GOP bs, but stupid Mika treated him like he was just another expert, as opposed to the swift boat lying POS that he really is. Talk about shit sliding by, that whole swift boat gang is still around, instead of getting black balled forever, nope here’s Shirley a voice of reason.

Dems gotta learn it. There are no good republicans. Maybe some can be worked with, like Cheney, but until their focus moves from absolute greed and lust to some semblance of humanity, they should not be supported or encouraged. The best thing is to just ignore the ones that act like Americans, and oppose the ones that don’t at all levels all the time, like McCarthy or Peters or Cawthorne or whoever. They’re all bad for America and should not be given any slack.

Not to quibble, but Justice Pubeycoke, Justice Rapeydrunk, and Justice Stolenseat will never live up to the ideal of what it means to be a “man”.

If I’d ever seen a normal facial expression on the man, I’d have remembered. I swear he does the same thing old comic actors did, with wildly distorted features, except for different reasons. He’s a strange, strange guy to the point it challenges our ability to comprehend what it’s like to be him.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday officially rejected the former president’s demand to block the release of White House records to the Committee. The ruling came in a brief unsigned order issued without comment.

Credit where it is due, txlawyer has been consistently predicting that the supreme court wouldn’t touch this. I am pleased that they noped relatively quickly (by their standards), instead of pulling one of their shadow docket delay stunts where they let a stay stand until the end of their term (July).

Some of that might have been encouraged behavior as a child. But he probably does it intentionally to make his presence bigger than anyone else now. Oversized drama and emphasis, including body language to pull all the attention back to him. He just never learned to have normal expressions.

I love the disco-style mini fist pumps that boost his street cred for the rubes.

Did I ever mention my dream of avid RVers Uncle Thom-ass and former (slurred) Speaker John Boehner meeting up on the open road in the wide open spaces of Arizona … head-on at 75 mph?

And I think everyone’s pleased at how consistently they slap him down. A lot of folks thought they’d just rubber-stamp any crazy thing, but they showed pretty early on it wasn’t going to quite be that. They’re conservative AF, no doubt, but they won’t make Trump a king, so that’s something.

Babies make those kind of fists a lot. Just occurred to me.

Did the Trump Justices all sign NDAs?

I woulldn’t go that far. If the 2020 election came down to just one state, instead of four, a repeat of 2000 was on the table.

Feeling a tad constricted today, Donnie? Your tighty-whities aren’t the problem, it’s that your beebees are in a vise.

I do not know if this has been pointed out elsewhere…but Trump cannot laugh.

Not really. He can sneer, do the forced smiles, etc. but that’s it

He won’t pay Roto-Rotter- they are expensive.

Citizen Trump just doesn’t have the same chacet or legal status of POTUS Trump. SAD. All that said, the provision in the Constitution for a VPOTUS makes these immunity claims unnecessary and potentially dangerous. No man is above the law, especially the POTUS. The POTUS should be subject to both civil and criminal litigation just like everyone else.

Judge Garland should vacate the disasterous OLC memo of 1973 (?) saying otherwise tomorrow. It is not consistent with the 14th Amendment or the founding values of the United States. We do not elect a King - we elect a caretaker who will insure that the laws a faithfully executed. If the POTUS cannot follow the law, he cannot do his job. He should be indicted, tried, convicted and succeeded by the VP - full stop.
