Scott Threatens Corporations With ‘Day Of Reckoning’ For Boycotting GA Law | Talking Points Memo

Hey Rick Scott – FUCK YOU

Go kiss Lard Ass’ gigantic corpulent ass some more then go back to relentlessly failing the people of Florida which is your specialty.

If this is regulated in a way anything like the FAA does things, we are doomed.

“Make corporate welfare a thing of the past”??? He actually went there?

Well, jeez, something Scott and I actually agree on…

Who’d a thunk.

T rumpp’s Dollar General Resort in Florida still serves Coke.

Donny Jr. loves hanging out at Daddy’s place.

I applaud Sen Scott’s willingness to work in bipartisan fashion on raising corporate taxes to fund Joe Biden’s agenda.

Yes, they are usually stationary, but many are connected to WiFi. Nest and Ecobee are among the WiFi connected thermostats while Samsung, LG, and GE refrigerators (to mention 3) have optional network connectivity. My LG washer and dryer have WiFI connections.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Okay, so Walmart and Coca-Cola and IBM move their corporate headquarters outside the United States: can you imagine the deal that other countries will be willing to cut to lure them away?

OoOoOo! Maybe the GQP will banish baseball! Oh, dearie, dearie, dear! I guess that MLB will have to reestablish itself in…Canada? Well, that will teach them a terrible lesson!

Of course, most of these dudes know all of this; these threats are just part and parcel of fleecing the rubes–the more raw meat you fling, the more money you get in return.

The GQP has reached such a point with performative outrage that its followers don’t have to do anything other than feel things: the feeling is the action, sufficient in itself. No one is going to ask for an actionable plan because feeling anger towards Coke should be enough to make it crumble and fall.

In other words, all these corporations are going to laugh their collective ass off to the bank.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

Rick Scott is one of the most amoral, banal, corrupt, and evil person in the Republican Party (and that’s saying a lot with Trump as the figurative head). He got out of going to jail for his medical corporation committing fraud and he has the nerve to warn corporations to fall in line.

Corporations have lot’s of power as well so I think Scott will be regretting his hypocritical Op-Ed.

All well and good until you end up in the hell of a thousand reboots.

I read an investment book by Marty Whitman and he talked about public companies having 3 competing groups of interests: labor, management, and ownership as represented by the board. Rick Scott is sounding like management threatening to throw in with labor (tv watchers) if the board (corporate $$) doesn’t shut up and let them do what they want.

At least you didn’t say “reinstall the system”.

In typical MTG fashion the GOP has gone bat shit crazy and forgot not to bite the hand that feeds it. Republicans are heading for a cliff and it is full speed ahead.

Maybe corporations that withhold donations to GQP will contribute to Democrats.

That’s why I love the Raspberry Pi - it runs Linux off a SD card, so if you screw something up you just swap out the SD for the spare you keep on hand and you’re back in business.

Does anyone else remember the days where government officials telling someone to take an action that benefited the government official in return for official acts by that official was something done privately out of fear of time in the slammer?

I run Linux mint on a 10 yo computer I paid 40 bucks for and have two more for backup if one crashes. I see no reason to buy an expensive new comp when this system works fine for me. Yes, I’m frugal.
