Nominative determinism
And 37% of the Pennsylvania Democrats are still undecided.
Both Lamb and Kenyatta brought up Fetterman’s shotgun incident yesterday. If Fetterman wins the primary, whoever the Republican candidate is (I hope it’s not Oz. I hope. I hope. I hope.), they’re going to be vicious.
I still don’t know who I’m voting for in the primary. I like all three for different reasons. I do think that Lamb will be the most difficult for the Republican to run against.
I’m with you on that - as long as it can be somehow proven that diet/lack of exercise is the absolutely reason, which is probably pretty hard to prove.
Fetterman and his family will get media buzz like you’ve never seen. Trust me on this.
I accept your terms, with one caveat: your charity of choice may not include the GOP, or any GOP supporting PAC.
Further, subject to the caveat above, if you’ll name your charity, I’ll send 'em $20 RIGHT NOW, on the theory that it’ll help you be right. I mean, I vastly prefer your expected outcome to my own.
All morning I’ve been finishing up the arrangement and production of my sixth musical homage to the Ukraine and its people and now I read the last lines of that article and I weep. Here I am in the peaceful democracy of my country with luxury of creating sound to fill the silence. Musicians greater then myself are in uniform playing in shelters to find a moment of solace within the din of war.
From the article.
The most effective rejoinder to doubts about the appropriateness of the moment came from Zelensky himself. Busy trying to save his nation, he clearly sees a strategic need to maintain a global sense of urgency around the war. What’s more, he understands that well-honed words, like songs, can move people by haunting them. “The war—what is more opposite of music?” he asked. “The silence of ruined cities and killed people.”
You’re still crushing on Gisele Fetterman, aren’t you?
But yes, I agree with you about the media buzz. What’s not to love about that family?
I’m sure this means Trump will be back on Twitter. Musk is very critical of Twitter’s policies.
That’s already been done. Long term obesity has everything to do with Type 2 Diabetes, and health insurance costs do go up substantially for people with BMIs above 30.

It’s so hard being an attention whore in the Age of Attention Whores
THIS! When you have hungry children and little money, starches, cereals and grains, and sugar and salt keep the little stomachs from rumbling. I know this, because I was one of those kids – the youngest of 5. Toward the end of the month, sometimes the only thing we had for supper was creamed corn with bacon grease, or toasted bread with brown sugar. My mom could stretch a box of jello pudding that serves 4 to feed 7 by putting a graham cracker in the bottom of a bowl and putting a tablespoon or 2 of pudding on top.
Our boom-town agricultural technology (now I call it Big Farma) is partly responsible for major dietary problems. All the high gluten grains and high yeast breads and corn fructose have caused many problems. Thank Norman Borlaug and his Green Revolution (he won a Nobel Peace Prize for it!) fed the world, but ruined food at the same time.
Musk could also finance an outlet expressly for Trump, but consider that “there’s “only room for one egotistical crazy blowhard with more money than sense on this planet” and Musk has dibs.
May they all be condemned to ashes.
But previous buffoons didn’t have Tina Fey impersonating them on SNL. Yes there was Dana Carvey with his Bush I impression, and Dan Ackroyd with Nixon, but Tina with the SNL writers had a field day with Sarah. Well when you make your every appearance a field day for the SNL writers…
A bit more than that. Russia is saying the U.S. is behind the faking.
The new guy who plays Trump is phenomenal.
TBH, at this late date, I don’t think the prosecutions, though deserved and legit, will have any influence on the elections. I can see the hearings generate a huge shrug among voters, whether they watch the hearings or not.
I posted this yesterday in one of yesterday’s threads. It fits your sentiment quite well.
I am the very model of a Russian Major General.
My standing in the battlefield is growing quite untenable.
My forces, though equipped and given orders unequivocal
Did not expect the fight to be remotely this reciprocal.I used to have a tank brigade but now i have lost several.
My fresh assaults are faltering with battle plans extemporal.
I can’t recover vehicles but farmers with a tractor can.
It’s all becoming rather reminiscent of Afghanistan. My ordnance is the best but only half my missiles make it there.
I would have thought by now that we would be controllers of the air.
But at the rate the snipers work my time here is ephemeral.
I am the very model of a Russian Major General.
Trying to find the reference, but that accusation has already been made (of crisis actors).
