Really excellent, more solid than 2016.

They’ll say it’s the Democrats.

I gotta look for ‘stuff’, so two things

  1. Revolutions have to be happily embraced by the middle class, the working class and the poor. Very few upheavals happen without those key groups.

  2. those who want to sit out, are welcome to. There’s no guarantee that Biden will be in the lead, as it relates to this cycle. What’s certain is that those who think that the current Democrats should be burned down, are going to be surprised when the ‘never Trumpers’ take it over.

Don’t forget: Trump is seeing this unfold. And I know exactly what he’s thinking.

Amidst the most grim period I’ve ever experienced as an American, this was very surprising and welcome news. This is a very public and fulsome endorsement. I think the Dems just won the 2020 elections. There will be no major 3rd party movement siphoning off the left this time around. In addition, with Bernie’s support, Biden’s share of white voters will go up into the low to mid 40s, and it’s at that point that the electoral college shifts in favor of the popular vote leader and actually overstates leads. See Clinton’s and Obama’s 4 wins as examples. When you’re above 40% among white voters, the EC impact of WWC voters is diminished. They’re also going to be a smaller share of the overall electorate this year vs. 2016. This looks like a 2008 style win for the Dems in the making.

In addition, given the Dems steady progress in the South over the last decade, Biden may well outperform Obama in the EC because his vote will be distributed better across the nation.

And some of them will—likely out of spite.
It enables them to sit on the Pity Pot and complain loudly.

I think the “twiterverse” view on the race is badly out of wack with reality. Part of it is that a number of Russian Bots were pushing disinformation, and some of it is being in a feedback loop. But the number of actual voters who voted for Trump/Stein/Johnson in 2016 will be a lot more at the end of the day than will do so this year. The stakes are higher, and while lots of people will pop off on Twitter (or the pop-off will be translated from Russian), come November the choice will be clear:

Do you want a fascist America controlled by Russia and FOX news, our 1933 election, or elect a liberal democrat with a history of supporting workers, women, seniors, and protecting America’s interests. Choose wisely.

We’ve no idea and enthusiasm was also a thing in 2016.

We first need to have mail-in voting in place everywhere.

Thank you, Bernie. You ran a great campaign and focused our attention on how things need to be and can be more equitable. Now if you could convince your pain in the ass supporters to throw in that would be even better. Talking to you AOC.

My mascara is running. I think I’m just going to read this sentence over and over and over for the rest of the day. Good afternoon everyone.

Dunno about you, I’d happily show up at the polls tomorrow to have President Biden sworn in on Wednesday… Worth the risk.

Well, I’m having a heart attack and I called 911 but I told them I wouldn’t be enthusiastic about having the paramedics here saving my life unless they try ayurvedic medicine first because I don’t see why being minutes from death means I have to give up my values and let corporate medicine continue to suck us dry.

Some of them won’t. Sad but true. But we’ll get enough suburban Independents (and possibly Republicans) to fill their shoes so I think we’re good to go without them.

It does boggle the mind, though. Even Bernie knows this is no time to put ideology first.

Like the man says. It takes a coalition. The democratic party is not one generic monolith of members with identical opinions, needs, and agendas.

Focus on what we have in common, respect each other, listen with an open mind to each other, and get that sob out of the white house.
