I saw coverage of an explosion last night that they suggested might be the first instance of a thermobaric bomb.
As an aside, what does it say about everything that my cellphone predictive text already has “thermobaric” as the first option, before even “thermometer”.

Apparently the kicker is just how to get them to Ukraine without NATO joining the war by default. If NATO flies them into Ukrainian airspace, that would be joining the war, and unclear if that actually changes if it’s Ukrainian pilots picking them up, but from NATO locations and then using NATO airspace.
Really should just cut through the red tape and join the party. A couple of runs over that 40-mile target practice line would be good starters.
By last night two or three countries were involved, and only some if any may have canceled. I haven’t seen anything myself.
If they want to be cautious about making this the end of history I’m OK with it.
