Nah.
I have seen a World Series ring close up—A Giants player showed his ring to me. They are gaudy, flashy, and expensive [$30,000 these days]. It would be swell if they had to cough them up. ![]()
Giuliani won’t get a dime of help from Trump.
Makes you normal.
This is a great start.
Speaking of lying, con-artist lunatics, in the category of Everybting Trump Touches Dies, see Exhibit No. 1,357:
Trump “works” at a McDonalds for a few minutes, and a nationwide McDonalds food-poisoning case erupts:
***EDIT: I see a poster above already beat me to it. Great minds think parallel brilliance. ; )
Sorry, I believe that anyone who tries to align themselves with a narcissist as malignant as he is ends up paying somewhere, sometime.
A lawyer has to work with the facts the client brings to him and the advice the client is willing to abide by. Both Rudy and Donald knew they had nothing.
Good lawyering in this case would have looked more like refusing to take the case after explaining why in great detail.
Some people only learn by experience. Vance and Musk might want to consider this.
Cohen is interesting because he is one of the few people who was under Trump’s spell who actually broke free.
Some day this sorta financial loss will happen to trump
Depending on the breed of dog, that’s hardly going to be two bites per person.
I was just thinking about that phrase! It perfectly described Ol’ Rudy!
This could be a heavy lift for Ruby and Shaye. Legal advice is supposed to be legal. Trump’s attorney could argue that he shouldn’t have to pay for illegal advice (or possibly he would argue that Ghouliani’s advice was not illegal enough).
Anyway, the process of litigating this claim should be fun. No doubt, a good time will be reported to have been had by all (of us).
Not everyone insures valuables of that sort. I’d be more interested to learn why the court believes the rings are among Rudy’s assets. Was Rudy required to submit a list of his assets at some point and included them, and/or did the court (perhaps via the women’s lawyers) obtain a list of his assets via public records? (Each ring would have made it into the NY papers at the time he got them.) If Rudy did give the rings to Andrew (and maybe Andrew’s child), perhaps over a period of two or three years (to stay within the annual gift tax limit) – we don’t know who is now in possession of them – there should be a record of the gift. (The IRS keeps track because of lifetime as well as annual limits.)
I’m out of my league on all this, but I can imagine that proof of current ownership may depend not on possession (Andrew may well be in possession of them now) but on tax records.
If lovin’ this news is wrong, I don’t wanna be right.
The rings’ actual value today, given the infamy now surrounding them, may be far higher than the $30,000 figure (wherever that came from – just the value of the gold and diamonds? and on what date?). I wonder how much money Ruby and Shaye Moss are going to have to pay for more lawyering and to all kinds of middlemen for disposing of the real estate and other assets. I assume they will have to pay for all that. What a morass of time- and soul-sink for the poor women. Because all this has made their lives poorer, no matter how much money they end up with.
Free but not free. His life is still all about Trump. Just as Ruby’s and Shaye’s lives are all about Rudy. And to one degree or another, always will be.
BMWs are famously money pits that are hard to maintain. Rudy probably wins on that deal…
The judge gave the ladies permission to put all of the items up for sale immediately after next week’s deadline, so I hope their legal team is ready to roll!
