Rubio Takes His Trumpian ‘Anti-Elitist’ Crusade To Fox News As He Revives Fauci Attacks | Talking Points Memo

I’ve heard rumors on the intertubes that Lil Marco is worried about being primaried by Lust Object. IMO, the outcome on that would be clear: a Trump will win FL because the State appears to have gone full on Rump politicians. It seems to be what the majority wants and Lil Marco will have to find some other form of doing nothing to make money.

“I do not question Dr. Fauci’s motives — I trust they are noble — but I am appalled by his arrogance. If he wants to lead the nation, he should run for office,” Rubio said. “Otherwise, he should give us an honest and transparent reading of the science, not polling data, and let the rest of us —policymakers and the American people who have elected them — do our jobs.”

That boy ain’t right in the head.

Ivanka will finish ahead of him in the primaries … so will Prof. Gorka-Cruz.

“But it does mean that placing blind faith in unelected celebrity scientists — elevated by a media that award Emmys to negligent politicians with their own grisly records — has its limits, and we must not be afraid to call them out when they’re caught overstepping their legitimate authority,” Rubio said.

WHAT DOES THIS EVEN MEAN?

What could be more “elitist” than being One of One Hundred United States Senators?

I think, in a way, this is good. We are going to have to deal with this shit from the GOP for a couple of years, but playing Trump is a losing game in the long run. The more GOP leaders who sell themselves to act like Trump, the smaller the field. Best case is Trump runs again in 24. We’ll wipe the floor with him. Again.

I sincerely wish we had less reason to laugh about his defects as a would-be Trump and more reason to criticize his defective understanding of Republican voters.
But it seems as if in Florida at least, he’s not far off.

I suppose it could be COVID related. The virus reportedly causes psychotic episodes among a small number of the afflicted.

Fauci’s advice on mask-wearing has always been based on the best available interpretation of the evidence, which, as always when it comes to empirical studies and science, continually evolves over time as hypotheses are tested and most are disproved. Those that survive the test of time are constantly subject to revision as new evidence comes in.

Moreover, public health messaging must be conservative and take into account the social and political environment. It’s an art, not a science. It can easily be undercut by unscrupulous politicians, who deal in propaganda, media manipulation, demagoguery, and lies.

Marco, Marco…you are not gonna win over those Trump voters. Neither is Hawley. You guys are elites and they hate them.

Marco is not only craven and hateful saying crap like this, but it is also stupid. I don’t think there are any potential political points to be scored at this point in time, with anyone, by going after Dr. Fauci.

Ah…Florida. Showing us the best you can offer, as usual.

Anti-elitist eh? Welp, what could be more elitist than barging to the head of the line to get vaccinated as a member of a very elite and exclusive club (The House of representatives)? Oh, I dunno … mebbe being a president who has never in his life knowb any sort of privation but has always lived in luxury Always guarded even before being POTUS he had body guards. trump has always lived in a bubble of elitism. So can we entertain a tad bit of IRONY here Marco?

Douchebags serve a useful purpose. Liddle Marco does not.

Every time he opnes his mouth in support of Trumpian ways, his poll numbers go down. Heck, by early 2021 if he keeps this up, his approval rating will be zero if not negative 3!

“Delusional”

Marco suffers from delusions of adequacy.

I vaguely remember something about Rubio and excessive credit card debt. So this probably just about keeping himself ‘employed’.
