RNC Goes After Obama For Using White House In Campaign Ad Like Everybody Else | Talking Points Memo

Presidents have engaged in the perhaps unseemly but legal practice of using the White House as a backdrop for their campaign ads pretty much since campaign ads became a thing. But now the head of the RNC is calling President Barack Obama’s decision to do the same thing an “apparent crime.”

Read this old item, and juxtapose it to Trump’s “Salute to Me!” 4th of July event, and the inevitable campaign grifting merchandising, and campaign ads that will use images from it. But in 2011, using the WH as a background in an ad was called “Criminal” by the RNC. They need to choke on their hypocrisy.
