I have a friend who says he thinks the Democrats are just as bad as the Republicans because they didn’t pass any laws protecting the right to an abortion when they ‘had the chance’. I explained that the senate has something called a fillibuster and they had no way to possibly get any abortion protections through Republican stonewalling, and even if they did, there are centrist Democrats who wouldn’t support stuff like that because it would lose them elections. On top of all that, it isn’t supposed to take laws to protect peoples constitutional rights - it is Republicans who have overly politicized the courts who have decided after all these decades of stare decisis to yank away peoples rights without good reason.
He isn’t convinced and won’t talk about it any further. We have an uphill battle no matter how sinister Republicans are. Too many women have decided to vote against their own interests, just as too many poor people have as well. It’s a pathetic mess and a sign of the fall of America.
Tell him to look up Murc’s Law then say nothing about the topic again. Either he gets it or not. Not worth the time to try to convince someone who refuses to understand.
Shorter RFK Jr.: They let me get away with killing children, high time to move on to killing more women. Doing so will act as job insurance.There are those in Congress who do not care how many children die as long as more fetuses are not deliberately killed. Can’t prove it (yet) but I would bet my next paycheck that hound-dogs RFK and Tramp between them are responsible for 10 total abortions. The answer is more domestic demand. Americans should eat more soybean products. Tofu, edamame, sofritas, soyburgers, soybean oil, etc. are very healthy. Pedo should give farmers more cash, welfare, health insurance, and prescription drug coverage so that they can feed their children. Many farmers in my area had already anticipated the low demand for soybeans. In the next season, farmers should grow other cash crops such as lettuce, arugula, escarole, and other items that can be used for crudité.
I’m really not sure why people on the left keep calling out the hypocrisy of the right. because it’s safe? Because it’s obvious? What it is, is pointless. We know they’re scumbags. We know they’re fucking liars. We know they’re hypocrites. We know they’re fascist fucks. We know all this. They know all this. So please, I really need to understand the point of pointing it out? I mean, do you think if we do it enough times they’ll slap their foreheads and go, “Oh, shit you’re right. My bad. I’ll behave like a decent person now.” Really? Because it really is a waste of time. People like that don’t learn the right lesson on their own. We need to teach it to them. By any means necessary.
Nah. Fuck the Farmers. Sorry. fed up with hearing this. Farmers have been subsidized for 50+ years to grow and not grow the basics. It made sense back in the day to control price/demand in feeding the rest of America. Now they’re no longer ‘special’ with the Heartland America bullshit. They voted Trump last time, got bailed out, and now they think they deserve more of the same. ‘Privileged’ I guess? But no more.
And soybean oil is not as bad as canola oil but it’s not a healthy oil.
