Like his father, Jerry Falwell, Jr. is nothing more than a hypocritical pickpocket.
They’re fanatics. It’s not like Swaggart suddenly ended up begging for food.
You know, for all the psychic horrors the Trump Administration has bestowed upon us over the past nearly three years, this story does help ease the pain a little.
Man, every single one of them is a cross between Elmer Gantry and Lonesome Rhodes…
Falwell, Jr.: “Give me Liberty or give me meth…or both!”
As a reminder Liberty University is where Ted Cruz launched his presidential campaign in 2015.
You wonder if he’s mad or capable of any sense of shame or he views and tolerates them as the base.
Yes, but at a certain point when your “Leader” not only has no clothes (literally and figuratively) but is actively mocking and disrespecting you, you’d probably do well to choose another school. Surely, there are other equally “worthy” religious colleges they could pick.
He seems nice.
We’ll he’s not wrong…
It feels weird being in total agreement in Jerry Falwell on something…ewww
You’ve seen nufin’! Wait until Trump gets out of office and tell us what he really thought of the backwoods morons that voted for him.
You are kidding right???
I don’t understand how this is happening. Isn’t his “penis so large his wife can’t take it all” suppose to protect him from all this. I guess supposedly large penises aren’t worth so much these days.
Don’t confuse being a big dick with actually having one…
Supposedly, Liberty U is a godly place. Since when have so many godly students, faculty, and board members been willing to turn their backs on the teachings of the bible for a paycheck?
Oh. Never mind.
Other than reading about some wildlife protections that were signed into law by my gov (Newsom) last week, this is the only bit of news that made me smile today .
I can’t wait to see the logical and rhetorical contortions that Evangelicals and their political allies will put themselves through to give him a pass.
And make no mistake: they will give Falwell a pass. That is more certain than the sunrise.
Liberty University has an engineering school?! Ummm, OK.
I am definitely going to check this out.
Buildings are sustained by faith, and faith alone.
Ah, yes, walking, talking practicing Christianity right there, folks. His father was much more veiled about it, but this one has decided that he doesn’t have to veil anything. Daddy is gone and he has the keys to the Kingdom.
I speak from limited experience: one of the kids in my mom’s congregation attended there. He was a good kid but a mediocre student. However, his dad was an early Evangelical, so the kid got in. Got a degree in broadcasting and, once he graduated, couldn’t find work because he was terrible (I did hear him on the radio a few times and Lordy was he bad). G-d rest his soul, he passed away last year after a long bout with cancer, but I do know at least something of the earlier iterations of Liberty U education.
