How many more ?
“You’ll find out”
“We’ll see”
“It is going to happen again. It’s going to happen again. Every time, it’s somebody else’s school, it’s somebody else’s community, it’s somebody else’s town. Until one day, you wake up and it’s not.”
Portraits in cowardice.
One would think that you can only wait for Godot for so long.
Dear GOPers,
Dust off your pocket editions and read:
Article I, Section 1: All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.
Article 1, Section 7: If after such reconsideration [after a presidential veto] two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the bill, it shall be sent, together with the objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a law.
It’s the job you were elected to do.
Well, that’s the best assurance we can ever get that absolutely nothing will happen on this matter for at least the next year and a half.
In other words, nothing is going to be done until Trump is no longer POTUS. That should make an excellent series of ads for whoever becomes the Dem’s candidate.
shouldn’t the headline say that Republicans Equivocate Until Trump makes up THEIR minds for them?
Republicans Equivocate On Guns Until Trump Makes Up His Mind
FIFY
Well, his approve/disapprove poll average on 538 is now down to 40.9/54.2, the biggest spread and lowest approval he’s had since February. More importantly, this has been the trend, incrementally, for the past couple of months. He’s taking hits from all directions, all due to his own incompetence, corruption and malfeasance, so he can continue to be the incompetence self-dealing shitbag he’s always been, but it’s having a political effect and it’s going to get worse. If I were Moscow Mitch, I’d be worried, very, very, very worried. Plus, Dems may yet get serious about oversight.
Voting GOP is voting for DEATH. Pro-life my ass, those folks worship violence and bloodshed. They are sick and disgusting sadists hiding behind “values” and “freedom”.
A song with words that are always true, God help us:
No, evil. They don’t even rise to the level of coward, which presupposes conscience.
shouldn’t the headline say that Republicans Equivocate Until Trump makes up THEIR minds for them?
and @davidn Republicans Equivocate On Guns Until Trump Makes Up His Mind
Actually, it’s Republicans Equivocate Until the Narcissitic Russian Affairs makes up THEIR minds for them?
Actually, I don’t think that Republicans need the Russians to pull off this bit of evil policy. They have always done it well enough on their own in achieving it.
Much more of this “equivocating” and people could get the idea that Rethuglklans are a bunch of callous ghouls, sort of like a death cult or something.
GOP = Lucy
Dems = Charlie Brown
Football = gun control
Rinse and repeat after every shooting.
So Republicans are waiting for someone who occupies the Oval Office to have some principles, spoiler alert Trump has no principles, Trump has no plan, Trump is really a follower of whoever he talks to last.
So Republicans you can either lead, or forevermore be branded as having sold out your responsibilities out of fear of man who tweets.
This whole retro maladministration is boring and drag.
You couldn’t make up a mind like Drumpf’s. 1,000,000 chimps typing at random for a billion years would produce the complete works of Shakespeare before they duplicated the drivel that excretes from the blob of fetid smegma that sloshes around in his cranium.
No. Many are actually cowards. As is Trump himself. I’m talking the most brain-stem-level of “overmatched mammal flees injury” physical cowardice.
