The GOP’s campaign of evil goes on …
They will never shut him down until the Democrats make them.
This is pure fascist bullying, those Universities should tell him to pound sand, other than threats and bullying, he can’t take Federal funding away, and the Dems and Liberals and Biden and Al Gore and everyone else needs to push this garbage right back down this mf’ers throat.
If they were to testify their answers should be along the lines of you are violating the 1st Amendment, and pretty much every other part of the Constitution, we refuse to be bullied and you can just bugger off, and that’s all you’re getting.
Anyone who thinks they’re not planning to come for every single school in the country, public or not, just like DeSantis has been doing in FL, is fucking delusional. They have had it with reality’s liberal bias and the fact that education breeds liberals because it highlights wrongs the GQP KKKult wants to continue and the causes of those wrongs (hint: white people). They have long wished to move on education to turn it into an indoctrination system that produces new culture warring “conservative” KKKultists as a way of beating back demographic shifts.
That Robinson dude in the other article is a perfect example of who they want to create. NO educated person could possibly believe that white people came to this country and simply “WILLED” America into existence with their own hard work and rugged individualism…and to see a black man posting shit like that should tell you all you need to know about how effective it will be for the GQP KKKult to succeed in their gambit to ban proper history lessons from curricula.
Honestly, the fact that he ignored a Congressional subpoena tells me the universities should just follow suit. He’s such an asshole…dropped on his head as a child?
Democrats have called the committee a modern-day House Un-American Activities Committee, akin to the congressional committee that pursued alleged communists during the McCarthy era.
Democrats: “Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?”
Gym: “None whatsoever. I’m a Republican.”
It’s sad that my first fears of “The Ministry of Truth” should stem from my need to see a “Ministry of Truth” established. The only thing George got wrong was the date!
You mean like all that stuff about Gym Jordan being an apologist or participant in gay hazing at his highschool?
It seems to me that Jim Jordan is in serious need of some psycho-therapy.
His bully boy attitude is not appreciated. Generally Universities research things. They do not weaponize them. Researching something is not the same as advising a president
And when was Jim Jordan elected dictator?
Wouldn’t it be nice if all of Gym’s witnesses started their remarks with “I am not now, and have never been a member of the Communist party.”
So, what I want to know is whether Jim Jordan is for or against government being weaponized. Methinks his answer would be “it depends.”
I think someone needs to reprise that sex abuse case against Gymmie from Ohio and keep his sorry ass busy defending his own behavior while he’s at it. Fucking voyeur.
The war on truth and facts has just reached the most laughable heights. I literally laughed out loud when I read that he claimed that researching disinformation was part of the Biden regime’s censorship!!!
I wish we had Canada’s law against lying in politics…Here the GQP wants to make telling the truth a crime and NOT lying another crime.
Won’t fly at Stanford, either.
It was obvious that the Republican House would spend most of its time on pointless politically motivated “investigations” instead of doing their job. This turned out to be the case.
Anyone remember those multiple Hillary Clinton Benghazi and email server investigations? Same thing.
Also like deSantis’ multiple moves against all levels of education in Florida, attacking the educated and intellectual segments of society is part of fascism/autocracy everywhere. I guess at least they aren’t executing anyone with an advanced degree of any kind (Laos) or sending them all to reeducation camps and five years of farm labor (China), mainly because they can’t. But it usually happens in increments.
Good catch! I had forgotten that. Maybe the U’s could send snippy letters to the effect that a response will not be forthcoming until AFTER Mr. Jordan has testified, and his testimony been entered into the record of the (newly-killed) Jan Six committee.
And maybe not even then.
It was always my belief about the “Weaponization” committee that its goal was to actually weaponize the federal government, via baseless and pointless “investigations” of their Democratic enemies.
The universities and the (at least one) think tank should simply ignore Gym’s request.
I look forward to Gym finally having his Army-McCarthy hearings moment.
“You’ve done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?”

ETA I see @coimmigrant and I had the same thought.
Honestly, these institutions should just refuse or force Gymmie to take them to court, where they will lose. I mean, what are they gonna do otherwise? Defund them? Not without the Senate and the President agreeing to sign onto that. That’s not going to happen.
Why should anyone submit to any subpoenas from a group of House GOP Representatives that wouldn’t honor their own subpoenas when called before the Jan. 6 committee to describe their own involvement in the insurrection? Its because they were complicit.
Investigating the investigators is still a sham committee. It’s an effort to protect these goobers from their own criminal activity. Its like the crime-fraud exception for Congress-critters in that its not being applied to them like it should. They have no business furthering their criminal activity through this committee but that’s exactly what they’re doing.
I disagree it is a waste of time. I think it is working as intended. If Jordan and the Repubs can intimidate everyone into NOT fighting disinformation, it makes their position to create disinformation much stronger. I don’t know if Jordan is smart enough to figure this out, but some of the Repub handlers most certainly are smart enough.
